    Shotgun or rifle?

What kinda problem is it you're having? This will help narrow down the gunsmiths being recommended. No need to go too far if its a simple enough issue that a local RFD with gunsmithing experience can sort for you.

Walter is a very good gunsmith, as far as I know he is retired but he stills does a bit of work. He does all the work for my local RFD in waterford city, iv never had a problem with him and he's a lovely man to deal with.

Walter is far from retired in fact this is now his full time job and he has now got his RFD.
I would agree with you about him being a very genuine person to deal with.

I ment he's retired from what ever he did and he's doing this now.

Jerry Geran in Clonmel is excellent on shot guns if that is what you are looking for. If not then call into Sean in Atlantic shooting and fishing in carlo, I'm sure he will point you in the right direction.

Hi. It is a trigger problem on a .22 Brno. I planned on having it fixed ages ago but never got around to it. My semi is now pretty much fully auto because the trigger is faulty.

A replacement trigger can be bought from most RFDs for as little as €20, and they are not a big ordeal to fit.

If in doubt most any RFD should be able to fit it for you.

In fact you might even get a nicer trigger than you ever had!

Is it possible to fit it yourself even on a semi

    Yes.

There seems to be a "stigma" attached to things like triggers, etc. You'd be surprised how easy it is to do most of the "gunsmithing" that lads need done yourself.

Obviously for safety sake some does need to be done by a qualified person, but there is alot you can do yourself. Saves in costs and waiting times. Plus things like triggers , etc are sold as "ready to fit" kits. The manufacturer provides a safety note with them, and suggests most people could do it themselves.

cz triggers are fairly straight forward,id say sean in atlantic shooting would be able to sort you out.

i dunno if its all that simple to replace the whole trigger mechanism
i think that would be one of the jobs id be getting the gunsmith in on
then again, if the thing is gone fully auto then you cant really make it much worse can you?

anyway, if you do take it to walter you will see he is a sound lad and he knows his stuff

Majority of triggers are held in place by two retaining pins.
Simple operation change, easier if done by two people, one holding rifle one tapping pins on new trigger

    When in doubt, Youtube
