Jailbroke an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2 today, no real issues. On the iPad 2, I got an error about "invalid checksums" while Cydia was installing, but a quick reboot sorted that out. Worked perfectly on both devices and one of the easier jailbreaks in a long time...

I have yet to install anything successfully.
Downloaded a theme, it didn't install.
Installed FREEid YouTube, it wouldn't download anything for me.
I have tried other stuff but I get told the host is unavailable!
    Am I doing anything wrong?
Or is this just the way Cydia is???
Or have I expected too much?
Have you winterboard downloaded to use the theme?
Try jailbreaking again, I've seen this happening before with the old jailbreakme site

I got the invalid checksum error on the iphone.
I cancelled it and went back to the site and it was worked next time.
Also on the iphone the cydia icon seemed to disappear after installing but what happened was it had moved from the last page to a space on an earlier one.

    ok,just used jailbreakme.com...
installed no problem, cydia and all that jazz but im having an issue...
last night i updated to tunein radio pro to be able to record stuff,to export recordings you need to jailbreak for a programe called ifunbox (installed on your computer, not the phone) to locate the recordings on the phone...ifunbox is telling me im still "jailed"...any ideas?

    Power cycle your iPhone.

Excuse my ignorance but whats a power cycle/how to do it?

So I tried SBSettings, it's ok I guess.
I suppose it's faster than doing the same thing through regular settings, at least when it doesn't crash and reboot the phone which it's done several times.
Keep well away from it's settings menu as touching anything seems to mean a reboot next time you bring up the springboard.

Just power off and back on.
Hold down the power button and swipe to power off.

    Jailbreak was fine on:

    iPhone 4 - 4.3.3

    IPad 2 -4.3.3

    .......using WiFi.

However, after Cydia installed I added some sources and downloaded Ins****ous and anything I download is saying "invalid IPA" and won't install.

I have jail broken (tethered/untethered) in the past on iPod Touch, IPhone 4 and iPad 1 and never had this issue.

Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks.....

doesnt work for me on iphone 4 no 4.3
Its starts downloading cydia, gets to about half way, says installing and icon disappears.
I have tried it 3 times.
I think I will wait till I get home and try it on the ipad 2, didnt really want the phone done anyway, was just curious to see how easy the jailbreak was.

I'd like to remind you all that discussion of services which allow access to pirated apps is against boards rules and the forum charter.

I've never had sbsettings crash in all the years I've been using it, I use it about 20-30 times a day. are you sure its not just re-springing because you made a change to the look of the springboard?
Its brilliant application for turning on/off bluetooth/wifi/airplane mode, adjusting brightness, hiding icons(eg.stocks), checking storage, ip address, etc.
I wouldn't use an iphone without it

Only problem I had was that iTunes wouldn't do it for me with an error code of 1903 , found that if you go in to Tinyumbrella- advance settings-uncheck the third option with apple in it- works prefect now :)

    Love Jailbreak version now

goto the website on your iphone/ipad and follow the simple install.
you must be on firmware 4.3.3, it will not work with any other firmware

I'm having trouble doing this on my sisters and her partners phones!

Both were previously jailbroken on 4.2.1

Plugged both phones in to iTunes and updated to 4.3.3...went to jailbreakme.com

Cydia gets halfway downloaded and then it just disappears?

    Anyone got any ideas?

Ive tried rebooting and rebooting tethered with redsn0w, any help would be greatly appreciated

Re Cydia disappearing, the only solution so far is to do a full restore to your device, jailbreak, and only after that reinstall everything from itunes.

That is what I had to do with mine.

@vinnycoyne - thanks dude - my bad, it wont happen again.

    @CathalDublin - thanks.

If i fully restore the it as a new device, then jailbreak, and restore from a back up...wont that delete cydia?

Yes it would - thats why you need to just sync with itunes after the jailbreak and not restore.

    What I had to do:

    1. Download 4.3.3 update via iTunes
    2. Sync iphone with iTunes and backup
    3. Restore iTunes to factory settings using the 4.3.3 .Ipsw
    4. After the restore straight away I used jailbreakme.com to install Cydia which finally worked
    5. Synced the iPhone with iTunes to put back my apps etc

    And done
