Is anyone watching Gangs of New York on Channel 4? Very good, but really different from other Scorsese films. DeCaprio is OK i guess, but wow, Daniel Day-Lewis id some actor-what a performace!

Haha I know, I'm a bit of a Nazi when it comes to sound quality....
The best earbuds/earhpones I have are all Sennheiser, a german company. Not expensive at all, but fantastic quality. I know people aren't into that sorta stuff, but anyway =P

I know it's all a bit silly to be like that about music, but I find the difference is amazing! It's like you feel the music!!! But I think it depends on what sorta music you like.

My best headphones have to be Sennheiser HD 518 (lol something like that, I think it's either that or 514). Any one else have any good headgear?
Ok, I was just wondering whether you were one of the people who considered Skullcandy to be "high quality" headphones.

Preaching to the choir man. :pac: I know who Sennheiser are. I was considering buying their HD 25-II's recently but went with Audio-Technica M50's instead. I've only recently gotten into the whole good headphones thing and they are amazing. I love them, though I do need to get a portable amp for them. MP3 players power output doesn't do them justice.

lol Skullcandy! Aren't they commissioned by Argos?
That's cool to hear you're a fellow audiophile! Yup, A-T are the other contender for creme de lá creme headphones, M50's are meant to be insane! Portable amp shouldn't be too tricky to find, esp. on Amazon/Ebay. I completely agree with the MP3 thing, the one thing I hate about iOS devices is the very poor transfer of sound-a song with perfect sound quality and high compression still sounds pretty mediocre compared to quality you would get on a computer/taken straight from speakers.

lol try the Bass Cannon test with your Technica's- Sorry if your skull gets blown off! It's INSANE!

The M50's are very impressive altogether compared to my previous IEM's. They were an average pair that I had for comfort rather than sound.

The portable amp isn't hard to find. The FiiO E5 is cheaper from lambayrules than from amazon though, its just a matter of ordering it at this stage. It's the cheapest portable amp going short of a CMOY.

I've a Sony MP3 with "high definition" sound and it still can't compare to my computer soundcard. My music is all high quality as well, 320kbps AAC/MP3 with the odd FLAC(very few).

I'm a bit slow to listen at full volume. I like my hearing, thank you very much. :pac:

Seen it before. I like how it is about gangs, but not as they are known in society today. Shows a different perspective on them.

Indeed, but lack of Mac 10's and Tec 9's back in mid 1800's USA meant people had to be much more resourceful when it came to death dealing. Sledgehammers and cleavers were much more graceful, anyway! :p Actually, there were a few guns in the film....

Day-Lewis' character reminds me a lot of the character he played in There Will Be Blood - ie, bat-**** crazy maniac. Love him though! Did you ever see There Will Be Blood? Excellent movie.

Saw it. I felt it was way over-rated. Didn't do much for me at all.

Partly tried the bass cannon test. Computer volume halfway up, youtube volume halfway up to start with. Increased youtube volume to three quarters of the way up. Anything higher is just stupid imo.

Haha yeah I guess. Some idiots on Twitter have gone mental on Flux P. because of ear pains! It has something to do with the underlying beat in the song- the frequency is...high.

KOAN Sound is also a very good artist, he does allsorts, and is very unique from the usual UKF stuff (a lot of artists signed onto them are junk!)

Check out 'Trouble in The West'! It's been out for a while, as a taster for this dudes album.

Jackobye, what type of music are you into? I'm guessing by your headhpones more electro-type stuff. What are the vocals like on the AT's? You can tell that Sennheisers are tailor made for non-vocal songs, which I like and dislike at the same time. Rap, for example, is a no-go zone, as sometimes the lyrics sound like they were said through a metal pipe! But I've got these Sony ones I got on special offer (just 35 euro, called "V500"), that are way better for stuff like that and movies/games etc.

Not particularly electro stuff tbh. Mainly indie, rock stuff. The M50s seem to sound great listening to anything. I didn't buy the headphones for a specific genre but for the detail they produce. They sound best though on tracks with distinct base and highs though. Kick drums booms, cymbals sparkle. They sound great when together in one track. I wouldn't listen to any dubstep tbh.

Lucky man. I'd love to have an exercise bike at home. I'd never get off it. I mean, you could use it at an easy level while watching TV or playing Blops or anything.

    How much did it cost?

lol at playing BO on the excercise bike .... All you'd hear through the mic would be excessive heavy breathing and the occasional "**** YEH, 15K MUTHER****ER!"

I've tried TV, but it doesn't really work. Especially comedy. :p

It was cheap enough I think. My mom bought it in JJBs in a half price sale for about 150 a few years ago I think. I'm the only one who ever uses it and it gets used as a clothes horse more often than not.

Too right mate! If you do buy CX, do NOT buy from auction sites, even Amazon, as they may be the most knocked-off earphone series ever! Honestly, type in "CX [whatever model you like here] fake" , and look how authentic they look! I'm sure the official ones work brilliantly. I have CX 500's and they are my favourite earbuds of all time!

Hey, what other artists are you into for rap? lol Paul Wall is pretty funny to listen to, but he's actually quite good.

Best Rap ever made has to be from Dead Prez. Check em' out sometime!

I'll just drop this by. Mark, listen to this with ur new earphones!

I'm not big into rap as a whole, but these guys get repect for what they rap about... ie, not some **** about them unloading their Smith & Wesson into some Bloods, before selling some coke.... Ha!

Paul Wall? Only time i ever heard of him is when Eminem said: 'See you hardly ever hear anyone bring up the fact Paul wall's white, coz lyrically he doesnt pose a threat to anyone see he's just aiight' - Eminem, G.O.A.T :D
And i never buy off Amazon etc anyhow :)

    And hey everybody :L
