What's the story with texts? I can only call o2 numbers for free.

I was with O2 all along, but I got a three sim, just to port over. Is it possible to get my old o2 number onto my new o2 sim?

I have been looking at my call charges and it seems that there is an additional call setup charge of 9c for every non 02 call with the Golden Sim .
    This means a 1 minute call costs 19c (9c + 10c) not 10c as previously advised by O2's reps.
    A 2 minute call costs 29c ,etc.

As it was said a few pages back, it takes about 2-3 days for the free texts to kick in and suposely you'll be refunded for any texts you were charged in this period.

I called yesterday about getting the golden sim plan to my old number and a nice lady in their CS did it for me while I waited on the phone. I was very impressed, a big thanks to her and of course the OP! :D

As for the additional 9c charge, it is clearly advertised in their T&C and on the pack you received with your sim.

My plan still won't let me send out free texts to o2 numbers. Anyone else still have this problem ?

If you go to their facebook, you can see me getting asked questions such as am I "physically" able to send text messages. Ridiculous

    Still no free texts here!

Felling a bit unhappy about the lack of promised free texts.

Fecking moaners. You can make free calls. Talk to people while they fix your free plan.

if you not using golden sim as your main card be sure to remember that:
"If you are a Prepay Customer [...] we may suspend [...] restrict or end the provision of the O2 Services [...]
if: You choose not to purchase top up credit or make a chargeable use in respect of your Account for
    a period of 6 months"

    section 7.3 of T&C's

They are standard terms and quite fair. You only have topup once, could be €10 and then all you have to do is spend a few cent or send a text to another network once every 6 months so the numbers isnt deactivated. Other networks make you topup every 6 months

The golden sim offer? It was a limited time offer.

Otherwise, I think you get it automatically if you top up by €20, as far as I know.
