Activision’s mega hit title has received quite a few map-packs till now and the latest one for Call of Duty Black Ops — Retaliation, is due in September. Apparently a website keeps leaking information about the map-packs and Activision keeps taking them down silently.
The new map-pack will contain a total of 5 maps where four are multiplayer maps and one is a zombie map. Check out the list of maps and details after the break!

The list of maps is as follows:
Mansion: set in Castro’s secret compound in Cuba.
Cargo: set in an frozen shipping center in Greenland.
Metro: set in an urban city in Vietnam.
Harbor: set in an abandoned shipyard in America.
The map pack will also include a new Zombies map titled Quarantine, set in Area 51, the highly controversial military base in Nevada. This is thought to be the final map-pack for COD:Black Ops.

At least this time there won't be big metal buildings that dominate every other map on Black ops. Although shipyard probably will, at least it sounds kinda interesting compared to bloody Radiation. Sick of that place!

The way things are going, MW3 will have a map pack to buy on day 1 of release. The new maps ain't that great, average at best.

havent we seen a bucket load similiar to these? Favela or havana for the first one, wetwork or shipment for the second, Kwaloon, district and china town for the third and sub base for the forth.

ok granted they are not all on BLOPs but there doesnt seen to be any originality to wht they are doing, but i guess you can only have so many that are unique. what i'd love to see is one that's completly indoors kinda like a large skyrise and only limited outdoor access fior care packages, so they drop on to balconys or something but everything else is indoors fill CQB

This will be the first time I won't be buying a map pack. The rate at which they've come out for BLOPS has just left me - for want of a better word - fatigued. Bar one or two maps I haven't enjoyed any of the new content so far and I barely play Zombies any more - which was my primary reason for getting the map packs on WAW, I must have sunk 150hrs plus into it.

I'm also pissed off with Activision not supporting COD4 and WAW with updates to counter all the hacking etc. They've pretty much killed the golden goose for me.

I have to say I am still not a fan of the new maps. Given it a few goes now but, I dunno. Perhaps I'm just too used to the basic maps and am slow to learn. God knows I am still sucking at this game

I wouldn't bother getting the maps unless you play a bit of zombies because only Hanger 18 and Drive in are any good imo. Silo is such a terrible map and hazard is average aswell

Agreed,actually I think they're all crap,even the zombies map I don't like.

Started off underwhelmed by Treyarch then began thinking blops was ok particularly 'cos I was playing in a party. Awhile back played MW2 for the first time in a bit and simply can't go back to blops. It's over a week now since I played MP on it & don't miss it at all.
Will probably get both map packs cos of zombies and just to see how it ends.:(

I actually really liked hazard, silo was bad I agree, but hanger 18 and drive in seemed good too, gotta play more of it soon, I done a video of hazard ill post it in the videos now

I have no interest in getting anymore packs for this game fullstop! last map pack was terrible to be really honest..

convoy, stockpile, hotel, zoo... none of them amazing or even enough for me to say I really like them! average at best!!

and I'm just not into zombies.. Mainly coz I suck at it

I see what your saying, I don't like any of those maps either... but after playing these maps afew times today... I'm liking them, even silo I'm really enjoying

It appears the more kills I get in FFA the more I enjoy these maps. So in conclusion these maps don't suck but I do.

And currently playing under the GFs gamer tag. And it is not one of those might be a girl / might not be a girl gamer tags either. It's a universally accepted gurls name and some girly characters.

Numerous side effects as a result of this. For example it renders the headset useless as it distracts and disappoints the 13 year olds in my team when they hear my gruff voice and see the girly gamertag.

Long story short make sure you're signed in when you use your gold membership voucher on xbox.

Although on the upside I get a whole heck of a lot more messages and game requests with this tag.

BLOPS is the first online multiplayer FPS I've played since Q2 over LAN in 2001/2. I only started playing just over a month ago. So I'm either the guy shooting the AK like a Norwegian on an island at every piece of floating debris or the guy with the sniper rifle running into walls repeatedly cos he doesn't know the maps. I have not yet prestiged nor unlocked any pro-perks. Played about 30 hours or so, mostly TDM or FFA and spent a lot of time in theatre and on youtube watching how it should be done.
But I f*cking love this game.

Ah, I just presumed since you started posting here that you were on the ps cos the maps were just today. I did he whole Girl thing for a few days with the my little pony emblem,, amount of Facebook info I got from some lads was crazy, some were 17 and 18 lol.

New map packs as with the old ones suck balls! they seriously need to sack the map designers, after pushing for WAW maps they give us a crappy re-imaging of cliffside as a golf course, and its nowhere near the same, you would think they would learn that their most popular map is Nuketown and designed something similar on a small to medium size

im actually fan of the new maps to be honest, much better than escalation map packs
