The director was terrible, so were special effects and the script. Hackamn couldn't do it all by himself.

And the amount of lies in that movie.. jesus..

In case you didn't see the last post - in reality a law called patriot Act(or similar) was passed which basicly allows the government to do whatever the hell they want.

Do you mean Public Enemies with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, directed by Michael Mann?
It was a poor film, given it's budget and AAA lineup, but a fairly decent 1930's gangster flick nonetheless.
I do not like, as you said, how the film re arranges things that did happen in real life, and fictionalizes other aspects of the film. Films should go either way, not some weird midway parallel universe. Michael Mann is a very good director though, Heat (1995, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro) is a cinema masterpiece. Depp as Dillinger was so far apart from the actual man, both in his persona and the actions he undertakes within the film, it's hard to believe Depp was even playing the man.
