This is no fault of IE or the OPW, what is going on here is a microcosm of housing, infrastructural, commercial development, wind energy etc all over the country… the legal profession has multiple access points where it can lodge judicial reviews, appeals etc on what are mainly low bar objections… While no flag bearer for developers, imagine genuine ones who are trying to build houses getting mired in objections.. often which are aided and abetted by politicians ….

As this project nears completion, is there any news on what and how much freight will be carried on the line?

How many freight trains per week?

    What cargoes?

The only thing that has been confirmed is an application for a temporary station at Adare for the Ryder Cup.
