Gamestop.ie have copies of the 360 Hardened Edition for pre-order left . Its sold out on PS3 .

My friend and I both placed pre-orders in hmv Dundrun.

Never got a call about it. So rang them up there two hours ago. They told me they only found out today.
Not sure why they taught taking pre orders for a game they didn't know they were getting yet.

Anyway. Got a pre order in gamestop in Stephens green.

Anyone that wants one should know today is the last day they are taking pre orders for the hardened edition.

Ok guys, may I ask a few questions about the Elite service? I have decent knowledge of the service, what it will provide, but it is the little details that I am a little lost on.

Firstly, can my Elite account be synced to several accounts be it on XBL, PSN or PC? I am wondering if stat tracking will monitor your platforms individually or will it be combined. Furthermore, if I have premium on XBL, will I have it on PC? ie. map packs playable.

Secondly, have they confirmed the deal with ownership of maps in relation to Elite subs. Since the announcement of the Hardened Ed I have heard that people will actually own the maps instead of just using them for the duration of the subscription. Clarification please.

Thirdly, what is Microsoft getting out of this? From my point of view, all revenues for CoD Elite is going straight to Activision as opposed to going through the MS marketplace where MS take some form of cut on bog standard DLC. I cannot imagine them being too pleased with their servers being used for data they are not charging for. Eg. L4D & The Witcher and other DLC that are charged for on XBL

Answer: Well not sort of an answer but more of a guess, They haven't announced anything about syncing multiple platforms, But i would guess they would all be separate somehow. I'm basing this on the fact if you buy the maps on say Xbox 360 for MW2 or black ops, You would have to buy them again for ps3 or pc. I doubt they would differ from this logic as they are in it for the money after all. So i will say it would be different accounts that require elite subscriptions for each. I do plan on playing on both Xbox and pc. Just to see how much better it will obviously be on the PC.(Dedicated servers bitches)

Answer: They have confirmed that you will own the maps and other stuff, So when your subscription runs out, You will still have access to any dlc you acquired through it.

Answer: No way of knowing if they get anything, But remember Microsoft already charge around 40 a year for your gold subscription. Which means they already have an incentive to allow dlc on there servers. Also, DLC in general is an incentive to for people to go gold in the first place, So can't imagine it would make a difference to them. To be honest i don't know if they get anything for the sale price of it in the first place.

Microsoft are bound to get something, They are only 1 year through their 3 year dlc deal. Id imagine Xbox elite subscribers will get content a month before PS3 elite subscribers. I doubt 1 sub will work with both platforms.

So even as a PS3 Elite member we will still be 1 month behind the xbox? I thought the deal with M$ was up at the end of the year and that elite members on both both platforms would get the maps a month before non-elite cod players

Elite 1 year subscription is on psn store now, €49.99 for it, dunno how long its been there dont use the store much

after much thought and deliberation , i made a decision to get the Elite copy , tried every Gamestop on the southside of Dublin and there sold out , has anyone had any luck pre-ordering in the last few days?

i know i left it a bit late to prebook it but still , can't they just order in more.:mad:

If its an XBox copy your looking for try online, on Gamestop.ie

All the PS3 copies are gone unless you want to get one from amazon, you''ll be waiting until after release date though for it to be delivered.

Im not sure how they got 50 euros from 50 USD. I think its 35 sterling in the uk too.

Yes you can. It's currently available on the Playstation Network for €50, don't know the story with XBL Marketplace but it will be up there in the coming days I'm sure.

Nah I'm afraid that the only thing your friend downloaded was the PS3 theme, I also pre-ordered it on PSN and that's all that downloaded. I would hope it will activate on the 7th as some people might be getting their copies early :cool:

I preordered it at playstation store too for 49.99 and it goes live on 8th november. Is it possible so that it is only a playstation perk......trying too compensate for xbox users getting dlc map packs earlier than psn users???
