    Hi :)

Just wondering, do you use all of your weeklies? If you do, do you still lose weight? I've used 7/49 so far over 5 days by going over my daily points a bit. I was planning to use some extra tomorrow but I'm worried if I do that then I won't loose any weight and I really want to shift a good bit by xmas!!

I eat most or all of mine and I still lose weight. I try not to use any of my activity points though.

Hey all, I made this recipe (found it on the website) yesterday, and it is gorgeous! I am a cake and bun eater more than chocolates and that type of thing, so these were lovely for a treat. The muffin size is very generous as well for 4 points!

    Ingredients
    Makes 12 muffins
    • 225g (8 oz) self raising flour
    • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
    • A pinch of salt
    • 25g (1 oz) porridge oats
    • 100g (3 ½ oz) caster sugar
    • 150g (5 ½ oz) apple sauce
    • 3 tbsp sunflower oil
    • 175g (6 oz) low fat natural yogurt
    • 6 tbsp skimmed milk
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 100g (3 ½ oz) raspberries, fresh or frozen
    • Low fat cooking spray if not using papers
    Instructions
    1. Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6/ 200?C/ fan oven 180?C. Lightly grease a non stick 12 hole muffin tin with the cooking spray or simply use 12 paper cases and place in the holes in the tin.
    2. Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt into a mixing bowl. Reserve 1 tablespoon of oats for the muffin tops, then stir the remaining oats and sugar into the flour.
    3. In a separate bowl, mix the applesauce, oil, yogurt, milk and egg together, then stir in this wet mixture into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined but still slightly lumpy. Stir in the raspberries, then spoon into the muffin tins, dividing the mixture evenly to make 12 muffins. Scatter with the reserved oats and bake in the oven for 20 minutes until risen, firm and golden brown.

Emmm freezing much this morning!!! On the upside it made for a lovely walk yesterday. What was meant to be a brisk workout walk didn't go according to plan. The OH wanted to come so it ended up being a lovely Sunday walk that maybe lasted an hour or so longer so it may have balanced out.

I seem to have lost my exercise routine. Has this happened anyone else. You put in loads of effort and say no real benefit on the scale so you let it slip, and then I was sick for the week and began to enjoy taking it handy. I haven't been for a jog for over 2 weeks  I was out twice a week before this. Anyone any advice on how to pull my finger out :o My advice in my own head is basically 'stop being lazy and just get off your a**. I'm pretty sure thats the best one going to be fair :D

I'm having the same issue at the moment, I haven't done any exercise in about 3 weeks! why not try something different like an exercise class or going for a jog with a friend or a cycle, just something to mix it up and get you motivated! I'm going to go to a spinning class with a friend this evening as something different!

Yea I do Zumba on a Mon night and it wasn't on last week and I missed the couple before so that didn't help the situation. But my sis is going with me tonight for the first time so looking forward to it now, hope that gets me moving and yep going to cycle to work the next few days instead of walking which I was bored of and hence why I stopped. Thanks OBHOB!

Oh and good luck with spinning my idea of hell :)

Weigh in in the morning again... 1 pound from goal:) my leader laughs when she sees me coming now.. The last few weeks I've been creeping down by half pounds every week. Ideally I'll hit goal tomorrow..I've 24 weeklies left and I won't use them but I've been away this weekend and whereas I made good choices some things were out of my control dinner wise. If I don't hit target I'll hopefully go down another half pound, just not up!!!!! Please please god not up!!! I'll even cope with an sts:(
Why do I feel so guilty and afraid of the scales when I didn't even drink this weekend?????

When you want something so bad it can make you afraid. I was laughing at myself last week cos I get really nervous. Like proper nervous on the way over. It's like that the fear and when you've put in the effort and you want to get the result! (I was up a half ) I nearly blubbed at the scales as I had worked so so hard and the week before (I was up a half ) My leader can't explain it either but she said to keep at it which I have this week even though it was a struggle to mentally keep up with it. Best of luck tomorrow I really hope you get goal, it's a great feeling!!!

If it's a hot breakfast go for eggs?? Poached if you can. Only one slice bread/toast. Pile up on tomato and mushrooms 0pp stuff? If it's pastry/coffee scenario I would say a scone. If you can judge by the size of it (50g is 4 or 5pp and thats not alot) it's probably best pastry type option/ Then have some fruit in your bag or something for later to fill up. If its a meeting sure just do all the talking and it'll stop ya eating :D Hope that helps??

+1 for Eggs! But not scrambled, you can't be sure if they put cream/oil/full fat milk in them. Lots of places will be only too happy to do a boiled egg for you, even if it's not on the menu.

Hi Link3, I've never posted before but have been following this thread for about 2 months now. Hello everyone!

I logged on this morning to see if you had lost your pound, having seen your previous posts. I no it must be dissappointing but you are putting in so much work that you know that it will eventually come off and hopefully the harder it is to come off the harder it is to put back on :)

    Hi All,

This is my first post on this topic! I've been following this thread for the last few weeks and i must say you are all so inspiring and have great ideas. I started the propoints system (at home) a week ago. I lost 0.8kgs (1.8lbs):D. However, i'm not too sure how accurate my scales are. I have about 1 stone to lose so fingers crossed

Keep up the good work :D

    You can do it!

Look how far you have come. Only one pound heavier than you want to be.

Go out there and kick the week's ass!

    Heh Guys

Went mad buying butternut squashes last week as was on the soup buzz but over did it on the soup and don't really feel like making it again!

Just chopped up a couple there and have them in a pot and wondering how butternut squash mash works out? Is there anything kinda halfway decent I could add to flavour it. Have some extra light philly in the fridge and wondered would it be ok to add some to it after I mash it?

Take them out of the pot, sprinkle them with Cajun spice and roast for about 30mins (depends on your oven/taste). I love them :p

Ah guys:) thank ye all so much, ye've been great support... I have to say I left that meeting this morning with a renewed sense of vigour! I will do this! I've been cooking since 3, chorizo and chick pea stew, gnocchi and mozzarella bake, (all recipes from this thread) and I've just had a small steak, potatoe, mushrooms and onions. I've decided to up my protein intake so hence the steak, I'm not a big meat eater, and I hate hate hate tuna, but I've mixed up a pasta tuna concoction for my lunchbox tomorrow.. The leader says your body works extra hard to burn protein off leading to better weightloss so we'll see.. I'm looking forward to this week and am going to treat it like my first one....Again, thanks everyone...this thread has been my inspiration:)

Hey Little John don't be too dissapointed. I would say your body is adjusting to the new food/exercise and pro points system etc. To lose a stone in the first week regardless of what you have to lose is alot. So to have a STS is ok. It evens itself out. Regarding the shift work I wouldn't be too sure as I'm a nine to fiver but if it was me I would attempt to have my three square meals and two snacks. Just alter it into your shift night or day. So meal before your 12h, snack 3 hour in, meal at 6h mark, snack at 9h and meal when your done? Would that stretch it out enough. Is it canteen based or can you bring your meals with you?? Nothing beats bringing your own at least you know whats in it.
