I think killing them is going a bit too far. Maybe they could be raped?

Thats practically impossible. You cant open a paper or turn on a radio or tv without seeing them or hering them

No, but I wouldn't mind if newspapers continue to insist on printing photos of them every day that they asked Jedward to try doing something other than 'one jumps, one gapes'. Every single ****ing photo. They're taking up perfectly good space that could be occupied by Georgia Salpa et al.

Killed, then reanimated by voodoo magic and be the first zombie twins to win the Eurovision.

    Love them.

I knew they would make it big, I said it over & over again. I was the only person in Ireland who supported them 100% all the way.

Love you Jedward. Keep up the good work guys.

Apparently Al-Jazeera wanted to interview them. No surprise there. After all it wouldn't be the first time they had guests that struck fear and terror into millions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,059 ✭✭✭Buceph

    Who gives a ****?

Their fans are tweenagers. Let them enjoy it for what it is, pantomime entertainment.

Being stuck in a lift with Jedward - bad.

Jedward representing Ireland at Eurovision - good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,264 ✭✭✭✭jester77

Why have these guys got such a bad rep?

Saw them for the first time last night, mildly entertaining and a little wired... probably too much sugar. Better than the Turkey that was sent a few years back!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,349 ✭✭✭Jimmy Garlic

Jedward are a national embarrassment. A lot of other countries send their national embarrassments to the eurovision, that's about all the respect it deserves really, it is a camp freakshow.

I wan them to win Eurovision first.

Ive heard them mentioned a few times on the radio news alright, in one ear out the other, dont know whats worse at the moment all the talk about them or that Queen both equally annoying as regards the amount of press their getting.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,816 ✭✭✭Calibos

I fear they are going to win tomorrow night.

With the recession, all the snow in recent years, the IRA killing people again and the fact that I saw white dogsh!t today, well its like the 80's and early 90's again.

......and what happened a lot back in those days??

We won the Eurovision a lot!!

Not a fan of the brothers, but could watch those female backing singers ALL NIGHT !!!!

Because they have absolutley no discernible talent whatsoever.

    They can't sing.

    They can't dance.

And between them they have all the charm, grace and wit of a smug turnip.

Despite this, they are constantly being shoved down our throat through tv, radio, and printed media.

They are a disgrace and embarassment. The coverage wasted on them should be going on people with actual talent who have something to offer the world other than stupid gravity defying hairstyles.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Flukey

JamesL85, that is a disgraceful post. Such character assassination I have never seen. How dare you insult smug turnips like that!

That makes them better than Bono.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,345 ✭✭✭landsleaving

They show more passion for what they do than any other mainstream pop act I've heard in the last five years, and actually care about what they do.

Yeah, they're not for me, but there's far worse out there. At least they aren't autotuned despite not being great singers. They're two young lads having a bit of fun and making a living doing it. Annoying, yes, but my TV. radio and newspapers all have off buttons. Especially the newspaper.

So AH, I implore you, direct your hate where it's warranted. Burn the f*ckers behind this alive:

And all the other awful music for customised Opel Corsa owners.

    And N-Dubz. Somebody kill N-Dubz.

So yeah, way worse than Jedward exists. Kill them, kill them all.

Probably just a bit of good old Irish begrudgery here. Fair play to the lads. The only act worth watching on x factor and now on eurovision. Full of beans, passion and excitement, and damn entertaining.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 10,239 ✭✭✭✭KeithAFC

I think they are good singers to be honest. The dancing around would not help the vocals but they have fantastic voices when standing still from what i have heard/seen.

    No it isn't.

People who have actual talent are badly needed for this kind of thing. It seems all you have to do is jump around like an idiot on stage and barely sing passes as talent these days.

Not begrudgery, just an appreciation for talent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

I want to dislike them but I can't. They're just so stupidly enthusiastic about everything.

Fair play to them, for two lads without an ounce of natual talent between them, they've made their millions.

Is this really the kind of music we want to become known for? Jedward are out and out terrible, not even close to mediocre, they don't deserve success of any kind within the music industry.

It looks like the type of enthusiasm you take medication for.

Nobody is allowed to admit to finding them to be a pair of hyperactive irritants.

Facebook and elsewhere is knee-deep in ironic student homilies to them.

Possibly from the same fuckwits that sit round dodging lectures to watch Jeremy Kyle and insisting to all an sundry that it's so bad, it's good and sit through the Eurovision squealing with ironic glee.

Time for some aesthetic fascism, I think.

I don't like them and I don't like their music.

The missus had the Eurotrash thing on last night and I have to say that I am very, very grudlingly starting to gain the slightest bit of respect for them and their enthusiasm.

Fcuk it, with , Obama, Lizzy, Albert, the Pope et al visiting and Jedward winning the Euro it can't be bad for the country!

    They're still sh1te though! :pac:

    I can't believe they're 19

Also, that song was clearly written with the idea that it could be sold to Britney Spears. Why are two men singing "Sisters let me tell you how it works" (...and why do I know the lyrics?)

WalshB, eh? Are you sure you are not Louis Walsh? I wouldn't say they are pathetic. They'd have to improve significantly to get to that level, and I think that is well beyond them. If they had a million times more talent than they do, they'd still have none.

They're the kind of kids who would have been offed one way or another at any other time in Irish history.

Begrudgery in great bounds me thinks. It's only a laugh. If you don't like them, or don't like the competition, don't watch.

    The same haters probably complain:

    - that airport taxes shouldn't exist, there aren't enough tourists coming into the country

(if jedward win and bring the competition and eurovision tourists to ireland):

    - that the competition costs too much to host

    - that there are too many tourists on the street, too many weird languages about

    Chillax dudes!

No begrudgery, they're an awful example for teenagers.

It's fine to behave like an idiot if you've got weird hair.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Flukey

KylieWyley, we don't like them and for that reason we don't watch or listen to them, yet still we are inflicted with them. I and most people with any common sense avoided that programme last night, and will do so tomorrow night. Hopefully we won't wake up to the news on Sunday morning that the two talentless gits have won. People complain about the Eurovision Song Contest, but that really would be a new low.

An absolutely heroic leap in logic. People who don't like Jedward are just a bunch of xenophobes, it's all so clear now.
