    Yeah it's capped at 40% unless you're in final year.


    are you sure? on the examination office pdf it just says you can't get honours.

    Capped at 40% unless you have medical note etc. In final year you can repeat up to 15 credits for a better grade which wont be capped at 40%

    I couldn't find it anywere on the nuim website, is that just from experience or could you link where you read it?

    its probably in that NUIM calendar book thing. Or for confirmation ask the Academic Advisory office.

    not saying people are wrong above, just doesnt seems to state it in the document and would think it would be an important thing to point out.

    I'm assuming you haven't tried simply emailing the examinations office, or indeed the academic advisory office. If there's such an issue with the document (and I really don't believe there is) surely they'd be the best people to ask rather than an internet forum? Generally the people in the college offices get back pretty quickly and are extremely helpful.

    I was just wondering if i missed something in the document or whether people found info from other places. I could only see the part that said honours aren't given.
