    Excellent! Shame about the Tatsujin board though. :(

    I'm getting super tempted by that Sony headset. If they add the ability to share the screen with another headset, I will get two, so the wife and I can sit in the front room like a pair of saps watching Tron Legacy.
    Can you watch satellite TV through those headsets? Is a revision 2 due anytime soon?

    True, of course. However I mean that compared to any other genre (yes, I said that), they are far more interesting not only to play but to learn about the game, the developers and the scene in general.

    There really needs to be an IMHO button there, right next to the "Like" button, just so when someone makes a grand, sweeping, self assured statement that you consider completely wrong, you can push that button and relieve that acidic bile you feel.... just a thought..... could be really really cool.... in my humble opinion....

    Of course they are just games and stuff but the purpose this topic here is to show them , not to show who has the best or most but just to show what games you have and let others enjoy the sweetness .
    Anyone who has some nice shmups should join in .
    No battle here , useless anyway as someone might turn up with a $30.000 AES cart .

    But maybe we should stop showing stuff for some reason :confused:

    I have to admit I'm on a slight shmup vacation at the moment. Mostly down to my thesis - after spending hours looking at word processors, endless bullet streams weren't the most enticing relaxation method. I'm finished now, so I'll get back to Akai Katana one of these days.

    I do think it's just one great 'genre' amongst many, though. There's so many wonderful games out there - especially on the independent scene at the moment - I could never justify sticking to just one type. Sure, it is a gaming type that has an awful lot to offer the enthusiast, but so do countless other genres (even the despised FPS - several of the best games of all time belong to that particular style).

    The more expensive and esoteric the better!

    And a little subjectivity is welcome too, it's ultimately about your opinion, and any statements will be assumed to be just that.

    The only things disallowed are abuse and trying to pass off Darius as the greatest Shmup franchise of all time when we all know it's Raiden! ;)

    So say we all! (well me anyways!)

    I wonder is it hard to get that running on three monitors like that? Is the image just stretched out across three screens, or does the emulator actually produce three separate images like the arcade board?

    Perhaps you just let Windoze/whatever and apple OS is called do the hard work for you in the monitor settings, then use some sort of arcane settings to do the rest.

    I'm sure I'm being cynical, but those shots actually look a little photoshopped to me - the clarity of the screen is at odds with washed out images on the desk. But I'm probably wrong. Guy just could be a really good screen photographer!

    As far as I know it's the real deal. The guy who set it up (fudoh) is well known online for spending squillions of €'s on AV equipment. I doubt he'd go to the trouble of 'shopping those snaps.

    It's apparently possible to 3 screen it in MAME with a crazy 4000-and-something x 2000-and-something resolution.

    End result looks cool though. :)

    Could well be real, but it's rare you see pictures of screens with such absolute clarity! The man must know his computer and camera settings :)
