not being able to ADS is just....odd though, feels like you're running around hipfiring everywhere.

Alan Wake is great, the story is very well done and the episodic nature of it is great love the "previously on Alan Wake..." recaps between the episodes

    Sony PlayStation Ireland
Hi all, please bear in mind that at the press conference in Tokyo on Sunday it was stated that PSN would resume service within a week but no specific day or date was announced. We have no further update since then but will of course keep you posted as soon as we know more.

    So Friday's the new Tuesday...

"So when is the Sony PlayStation Network coming back online? This week, probably. At the same press conference, which was held at Sony HQ in Tokyo, Sony exec Kazuo Hirai apologized to gamers, and promised that the PSN would be live again by Friday. When the network does return, Hirai added, according to eWeek, it will return stronger and safer than ever."

I dunno how many more times I can stand being told one thing, and then finding out from a non-Sony source that it won't make the deadline..

tbh the whole debacle has been nothing but lies, cover ups, admittance, more cover ups, more lies, and not fulfilling their promises.

In a press release published on the PlayStation blog, Patrick Seybold, a Sony rep, announced the PlayStation 3 would get a "forced system software update," which would "require all registered PlayStation Network users to change their account passwords before being able to sign into the service. As an added layer of security, that password can only be changed on the same PS3 in which that account was activated, or through validated email confirmation."

'Cos I'm a technodope can someone explain the bit in bold?

At this stage I'm kinda losing the will to live.

validated email would be if you request a password reset, they would send you an email and you would click on the link to validate the email address allowing you to reset your password.

How many map packs have been released so far and how much are they?

Only got BO over the Easter holidays and dieing to play MP, really bad timing ha. I love playing zombies so far even though it's solo, I need to get a mic and play it online.

One came out a few months back, it was called First Strike. And the new one is coming out soon (its out for Xbox already) its called escalation. First Strike was 14.95 or there about I think. Assume the new one will be the same, but not too sure.

Thanks, pretty steep for DLC but from the amount of play time I got out of MW2 it'll be worth it.
