I am planning on holding a lot more tournamnets, this is just a fun tournamnet and will see how it gets going. Of course its going to be a major gap beteween bronze/silver/gold/plat/dia/master players, but its just a game of fun.

It also helps bronze player be more determined not to lose as I will be watching the replays(and maybe casting a few)

I want to see how this goes first anywas, and then maybe start a code b/a/s tournament style were you can move up if your better or move down if your worse, so skill level will even out after a while.

Hey Guys

So I said I would stop the registration at 12:00 today, however there are 4 spaces still left, so I will leave it open until then, for late comers to register, but will still be posting up the dates and fixtures and will edit if necassary.

The first four people that post this info will get the spots:

Player List

You can find the current player list Here

This is just a quick format of the name league and races of the player and what groups they are in. It also show how much races are being played. And the boards.ie account for the players for you to get in contact and arrange a match with them.

The group tables can be found Here

This will show you what group you are in and who else is in your group. You can see at the bottom of the gorups you can see a table of which I have organised a Order of Play type table. This is just a guideline of when to play your matches and who to play them against.

The groups are broke into groups of 5 and the first group is of 6. This makes it that all players will play a minimum of 4 games. However depending on the week, you may only be playing one game.

You can see the group fixtures done out Here

You can also see who has only one game(Week 1 and Week 2) and the players who have no games(Week 3) I have marked it up so you can see the groups and players easily.

Note: For players that have no games in Week 3, this is due to them haveing their four matches in Week 1 and Week 2. So even though they arent playing in Week 3 they have played their four matches already.

Format

All play will start in group stages. Every Player will be playing everyone in there group. You will be playing in a Bo3(Best of 3) games with the starting map pre-decided and the second map is picked by the loser of the first game(Map needs to be in the map pool of League please see Map Pool section for a list of Maps)

When all of group game plays have been played. The players will be seeded from the Points they have. If the players in diffrent groups have the same points, they will be put against each other for a higher seed.

Once all the seeding is completed players will go into a Bracket format were the Games will be a Best of 3 until the Semi finals and then it will be a Best of 5 games and then the finals will be a Best of 7

All spaces are now filled, I will be updating the groups and fixtures and player list later on tonight/tomorow morning.

VikingErik, I was gonna put lower levels together, and higher levels together but decided against it for the first league, This is more of a fun league instead of a seriouse one. Hopefully with this running smoothly and be fixing a few mistakes that i come across, I will be starting a proper lower level league and a proper higher level league after this.

This is jsut a test run to get things up and running. Hope ye dont mind

Because once they go into the play offs the seeding would not be correct.

How about having 2 brackets after the seeding? One for the top half and the other for the other half. Then the bracket would be a lot fairer and it'd be more fun for the lower level players.

True, but the only way to get better is to play people better than you. Frustrating as it is at the time, its the most effective way.

I'm gold but we have masters in here. Don't stand a chance. I'm sure I'll get spanked too.....but I'll probably learn something from it.

brackets will be seeded and it will be a double elimination

Am I correct in assuming that highest seeded will meet lowest seeded?

I understand that all this is for fun, but won't this really make it very easy for the group winners to make it to the semis without any real challenge. Maybe make it so that group winners automatically qualify to quarter-finals while the lower seeded players actually have to battle their way for a chance to play the highest seeds. Just a thought, maybe something to consider for next time.
