Do you like the taste of beer?

because I don't. This has only dawned on me now. I still drink it, but I don't find the taste pleasant.

When eating food, I can't stand the taste of any alcohol. I don't think I could go out and drink coke or 7up all night though. I'd be bouncing off the walls with all the sugar in me.

From my first night of ditch drinking to this day (exactly why I never took up drinking), I fuppin hate it. I can't believe anyone likes it for the first few times. So why did you keep at it??

I've tried many, and they are all manky. It saddens me and my tastebuds.

    Love it.

Same as yourself, though, I can't drink alcohol with my dinner, it's rotten.

Yeah, I wouldn't drink it otherwise.

    Not all beers.

Love the taste of Real Ale, especially Fullers London Pride. :)

I drink it for the effect it has on me. To be honest, I'd only muster 4-5 pints on a night out.

Yeah I love a nice cold bottle of beer.

If I plan on having a few I usually put them in the freezer about half an hour before I crack the first one open.

No but southern comfort always tasted good.

    No.

    I'm 36 now and since I was a teenager I've never
liked the actual taste of beer! or Pils or Larger or stout or any
    type of wine.

I LOOOOVVVVE cider and adore vodka and coke or vodka and lime but other than that I dont drink or liked anything else
other than ginger ale beer, or the different brands of berry ciders.

Does not bother me! I manged to get Pissed on Inches stone house cider after about 6 cans for well under a tenner.

Fridge temp should be perfect for beer unless it's awful. :p

It tastes nice and quenchs me in the summer or some whiskey with a wedge of lime.
Carlsberg taste good as well, even better in a tall glass with ice.

Yes. Beer, ale, lager, stout but none of your Budweiser/Fosters/Stella rubbish.

I had Cain's Raisin Beer this evening. Pleasant, hoppy and just the ticket after a long old day.

Love beer. But don't ike alcohol with food either, unless it's a glass of red but I'd still need some water

Can't beat a nice cold Sam Adams Boston Lager. Miller & Budwieser (or what passes for them here are brutal. Not so bad in the US.

Nicest "Harp" I ever had was in a dive bar in Los Angeles. Far superior to what was sold here (tried it out of curiosity).

Leffe blonde ftw. Like drinking liquid gold, except without the fatal health complications drinking actual liquid gold would inevitably bring.

Never really liked it...until I moved to Belgium!

sometimes you just cant beat a nice pint/bottle of beer. theres nothing like it when you're in the mood for it. I never touch spirits they're just too strong. kopparberg is delicious too.

Nope, even the good shít. I just can't get on board with the stuff at all. Ditto wine. And again, even the good shít.
When eating food, I can't stand the taste of any alcohol.

Agree, don't drink alcohol with food at all, it lessens my enjoyment of the food.

    Pilsner Urquell, original and best.

I love trying new beers when even I get to travel. Some lovely Asian beers, some really nice micro brews in the US and A and or coarse the Belgian, German, Czech beers are yummers.

Can't stand beer. At all. Drank half a bottle of miller a few months ago and I actually felt like throwing up. Obviously I haven't tried all the beer under the sun, but I'm pretty sure I don't like beer in general.

In short - no, it's bleeedin' nasty, I think.

Nope, partially why I don't drink much at all.

I like it ice cold. Like when you take a slug of ice cold beer from a bottle & the back of your throat doesn't know what has happened & your teeth actually tremble.
    Heaven.

Yes, and there is some fantastic beers being created by small craft breweries in Ireland at the moment.

O'Hara's Pale Ale being one of the very best.

    Drink cider myself :D

Nothing like ye old dry cider (the cloudy stuff), or the French stuff.

It ain't sweet, but it does taste nice.

Nothing better than a nice beer.
Just think of a nice beer you might have at the bar in Dublin Airport going on holiday.

I could never get the taste for beer, it just leaves a horrible taste in my mouth and disagrees with my stomach, and it's not from the lack of trying, I've tried most beers you can get here and when abroad I always taste the boyfriends to see if I've magically converted.

I'd love to love beer :(

But you can't beat a cold glass of white, or a lovely Bulmers, or a tasty cocktail, or a Bacardi with coke, or a hot Jameson or a sweet morgans spiced with coke. Mmmmmm.

Only if it's GOOD beer. Most of the stuff you get on tap in bars here is not fit for cattle, never mind people. I remember someone bought me a Budweiser without talking to me first, but I could only get through a few sips before my taste buds went on strike and asked my brain "WTF?!?".

Context is also important. For example, when I was visiting friends in Houston a couple of years ago, I knew I was going to be helping out in the garden, so I got a six pack of St. Arnold's Fancy Lawnmower when we were out shopping. It wasn't expensive at all, but it's won a few awards, and the effect after a few hours working in 30C+ heat ... yowsa! :D

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Yeah, my nephew only drinks this. I had him over for his 18th birthday and he was drinking that stuff. Far too sweet.

    Me like beer though.

    Cider that's not sweet?

The reason I hate Bulmers so much is because it's so sweet.
    Might try this stuff.
