Well worth the effort from the looks of that view.

Is that the Green Road? I must get up there on a bike someday, my parents are only 15 minutes away.

Its one of the trails up on blackhead , not sure if it is the actual green road that is often mountain biked

Quick 50k over the gap from Bray to see how much fitness 6 weeks off the bike has cost me, the answer is all of it :(

Had to walk a couple of bits before the viewpoint, I was completely wasted, lovely day for it though:

The council have resurfaced the road from the Crossroads>Kippure>Lough Bray>Glencree with horrible gravel aswell, the kind where they put the tar on first then just dump a load of stones on it, potholes are already strting to appear, my favourite road turned into a total mess.

    Bellewstown Co Meath this morning.

    IMG_20170709_102006_zpsy3jvjpmf.jpg

Nearby, a load of dead crows left hanging from a fence. Pretty weird. I've been cycling around here for a few years and never seen that before.

Looks like there is a crop in the field in the background so maybe a farmer has given a shooter permission to take them down.

Not sure why they would hang them - maybe to put off other birds.

    'Scarecrows'

I used it to see it all the time as kid, same for painting white splotches and eyes on black round bales to scare them away, nobody seems to bother anymore, same for the generic man-shaped scarecrow aswell.

Yes, Brownshill dolmen. I rode a 200 km Audax and this was at 111km. Tune of the day was this one.

It's a bit of a trek off the main road when you're 111 in and 89 to go. It's a bit uninspiring :D
