How are they hypocrites? You personally dislike Florence and the Machine and The Coronas (I find The Coronas bland too) but you know perfectly well they're not "worse" than Rebecca Black's song. When it comes to music, most of what's good or bad is subjective, but some... is most definitely objective.

I think most people who watch/listen to stuff like this label it a 'guilty pleasure'; which is fitting when it refers to something that you consider of questionable merit that you occasionaly enjoy, for whatever reason.
It kind of loses meaning, though, when the things you use it to refer to are pretty much the only things you watch/listen to.
The moral of the story: don't feel the need to apologise for your taste in things or add a qualifier in order to 'explain yourself'.
Or do, if you feel like it.

Set things straight about this 'Friday' song which equally despised as well as liked (give or take a couple thousands).
Look and listen to the lyrics... They're nothing but a lines of words about her and the 'suppossed' friends getting excited about the weekend....the dust bunnies have more meaning.
The song itself is totally auto-tuned, so she probably can't sing. We learn that she knows that Saturday follows Friday and Sunday is after Saturday (lame much?) That made me nearly piss myself laughing.
I'm the one of the guys who clicked dislike on youtube, and I rarely do that.
She kinda remids me of Justin Beaver or something, hopefully no duets appear. That'll be 2012 probably...a christmas number one?..never...
Put it simply, the song's crap.
By the way I'm in my teens (17) and I think I'll be sticking to when music was at its best. From 1960s to 90s. The golden years of Rock 'n Roll.
