Years ago I was at a pub in Galway and was waiting to get served at the bar when I noticed a man staring at me. He came up to me the next time I was at the bar and asked if I was Billie Piper.

Shocked, and a with a few drinks under the belt, I said 'yes, but please don't tell anyone.'

He was pretty intoxicated and said 'oh, no problem. Is Chris (Evans) with you? Where is Chris?

I replied that he was in the nightclub 'pissed as usual' :D

So, anyone else been mistaken for someone famous or a 'sleb'?

I am regularly mistaken for ?uestlove, the drummer for The Roots. I'm always being stopped and asked for photos and autographs. The funniest one was being stopped by a huge crowd of schoolgirls in Tokyo. Even though I told them that I wasn't him I still ended up posing for quite a while for photos with them.

    All the time :(

Once: Mo Johnston, in a protestant man's working club in East Belfast. Words were exchanged. Then I soiled myself. Ref for peeps too young to remember: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mo_Johnston

All the time. Phil Mitchell. Sigh.

You win! I hope you wear a little comb in your hair too.

Surely they'd be able to tell you weren't because you didn't have tiger's blood in you.

Recently I was told I look like David Tennant, not sure if I approve or not.

When I was about 18 I was being told I looked like Bam Margera, again, was never sure if I approved or not.

A few years back I was drinking in Bruxelles after a gig. I was with a few members of the band, who I am good friends with.
At this particular stage of the night I was sitting at one of the old high tables in the downstairs bar with the drummer and a guy came up to the table and asked for the drummer's autograph. He then thought I was the bassist and asked me for my autograph, so I signed it. We all had a good laugh about it.

Been asked quiet a few times if i'm some guy called Michael French...apparently he played some dude on Eastenders called David Wicks.
Had to google him and I can see the resemblance alright

    No, I don't.
I don't think I look like him either, apart from a similar hairstyle. I don't have a beard, and I'm taller and slimmer.

I was once having lunch with a friend in Yamamori and three women rushed over to our table with pieces of paper looking for my autograph. The whole restaurant turned around to see what the commotion was about and I had to tell them that I wasn't Questlove. I could well imagine their embarrassment at having to walk back to their seats with all the eyes of a packed restaurant on them. The Roots had played The Olympia two nights before and they'd thought that they were still in town.

Jennifer Ellison once, on a beach in Crete. Gang of half-cut English lads came over asking for pictures (some were already snapping on their phones). I don't see the resemblance, my boyfriend at the time didn't see it either, the only similarity would be certain assets. Could have been worse though!
