That's a bit crap alright. If you know someone in the UK then get the sterling cheque sent to them.

I'm in two minds what to do, £14.95 to ship it to Ireland from ServersPlus which makes it only slightly cheaper than Dabs.ie but Dabs don't have stock at the moment.
I found a PSU I think should be compatible with the N36L for about €60.

    Parcel motel?

What PSU are you looking at? The PicoPSU's seem to have dropped in price since I looked at them. I'm tempted to go down that route for silence as I'm working from home a lot and it does make a bit of a hum...

This one, when you add in the cost of the power adapter the Pico's are fairly expensive.

Is the cash back offer valid if you buy from Dabs, sorry if this has been asked already

It should be included I think, but when I asked they said they :
"Unfortunately, we do not have any cashback offers on this item at the moment."

email promotions@out-bound.co.uk and they should be able to tell you. As long as they are a HP authorised reseller you should be fine.

Might have one of these for sale in the next couple of weeks. Girl at work has fallen out of love with it.

In perfect condition and very little use.

You'll have to make the order over the phone with Servers plus and it will work out at £165+15=£180 including vat & delivery, but before cashback.
So I reckon about €185 after cashback (£55).

Dabs would be €252 including vat & delivery, so about €190 including cashback (€60), but they don't have any in stock at the moment.

Yeah, I forgot about the vat on the serverplus price...

Irish form for cashback on the HP Microserver attached, only €60 which is a bit scabby compared to the UK one of £55 which is closer to €80.

Yeah and the bank will take another cut because it's from a UK bank, even though the check is in Euro!

By the way I had mine delivered via Parcel Motel and it *just* fit in the largest locker.

However they may perhaps decide otherwise in other cases because the fit was a bit tight. Especially on top, and the server has big "this side up" stickers on it

Offer back on. Just bought two for €455.26 delivered from dabs. Works out at €168 per server which is pretty sweet. New form attached.

how would people who have this rate it?

also if I'd want to use it for media with plex installed, would it cope?

It can handle Plex fine, I stream to several devices from it with no issues - even the older version was able to do that with no problems.
    I'm running it with FreeNas.

I'm going to assume that you don't need server software to run this? Would you be perfectly fine loading up a copy of Windows 10 on it?

The cashback terms say "this promotion is only available to end user customers based in the UK".

I e-mailed eBuyer asking if they ship to Ireland, they said they
"Unfortunately due to ourselves being a UK retailer, we only ship within the UK though I’m afraid.".

So you might complete the order through Parcel Motel... but potentially no guarantee you'd get the cash back offer of 55 quid sterling ?

Anyone else complete this new offer successfully ?
It's a sweet deal if ye could.

If you mail promotions@out-bound.co.uk then they will send you a Euro claim form. They will honour it even if it was bought in the UK as long as it wax bought from an authorised retailer.

The other thing is trying to get EBuyer to deliver to Ireland. Unless something's changed, they used to automatically cancel orders made to Parcel Motel.

    yeah.

I've tried 3 different UK sites with the deal.

eBuyer in this link, and also ServersDirect.co.uk and ServersPlus.com.
While they accepted the Parcel Motel address in the North, they would only allow UK billing addresses via postcode or locked to "UK" country.

I e-mailed the HP Ireland shop to see if they would apply the cashback... worth an e-mail at least...
    http://www.hpshop.ie/hewlett-packard-enterprise-proliant-microserver-gen8-2-3ghz-g1610t-150w-ultra-micro-tower-819185-421-prod.html

If they brought the price down from €227 inc vat to around €164 inc vat (where £55 cashback is roughly €63) then I'd bite.

Anybody having trouble because of ParcelMotel's address being in the north, AddressPal from An Post will provide a UK mainland address that then works just like Parcel Motel.

    Might be worth a shot.

Servers Plus will ship to Ireland if you ring them, it's not that cheap though.

Using a postcode of BT1 1AA can work. I think it's the GPO in Belfast.

Looks like a flat rate €25 oversize fee:
Where an item exceeds the maximum dimensions of 72cm X 31cm X 25cm, you will be contacted by An Post by phone. The item will be made available in your local delivery service unit and the cost for delivery will be €25.00.
