I have a N36L with a N40L chassis and HDD (250GB) spare if anyone is interested. I had bought both but I decided I only need the one now.

What's the difference between the N36L and N40L chassis?

    Noooooooooooooo it's gone from Dabs...
emailed customer service to ask about it, they replied
"It would appear that the item you have mentioned has been removed from the site.
I am sorry that I haven't really been able to assist you on this matter, if I can help further, please let me know. "

I know it's Pixmania and they might not have the cashback offer but might not need it... Could someone tell me if this is the same server

Amazon lists the seller as MiniPrice Express and Pixmania's seller is Miniprice..

Amazon: €190 approx.. incl shipping (PM)
    Pixmania : €178 incl shipping

can you get the cashback with either?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,414 ✭✭✭witnessmenow

You wont get cashback off either (they are the same seller)

Misco should be ok (confirm first!) - €223 + P&P

    Hey guys,

Is there a particular seller offering the rebate?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 103 ✭✭CurlyEng

I put email enquiry into rebate management company as to whether misco are in Ireland: they are in the uk.

This offer not visible in the uk yet so misco may be seen as uk reseller.

P.s. T+c says you got to use irish reseller. Pity 3 listed ones are > 330 euro and 100 more expensive than others in uk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,414 ✭✭✭witnessmenow

The T&C does say that ok, but I have used ebuyer before and got the cashback, I also asked about dabs.ie who are not on the list and they were ok too.

That €120 cashback is almost too good to turn down! Your home server has to have some redundancy... right!?

Can everyone please make sure NOT to mention to anyone in, say, misco.ie that the rebate has gone up ?
I'd be worried that they'll hike the price up to compensate.

No need to as you just did! :)

    FYI from the helpcare email

***co are indeed a HP Preferred partner so you would be eligible to apply for the cashback, even if you buy in the UK and have it shipped to Ireland. You just need to complete the Irish claim form it you want your cashback in euro’s or the UK claim form if you want it in GBP.

I bought a Proliant from misco.ie a few months back and got me cheque for €120 without a problem, perhaps on 1st February all the vendor websites will get updated?

You could drop an email to promotions@out-bound.co.uk (from the pdf a few posts up) and ask for clarification, they responded to me in a timely fashion when I had queries previously.

Ubuntu 12.04 Desktop (also had 12.04 server, desktop is probably easier if you are new to Linux)

    Yup, works great
