Thanks for the name, couldn't find out who he was.
But he wasn't fighting in feburary, it was november.
We don't know if he was cutting down to 180 to get there or not. But either way its impressive.
I hope he makes it now. Just to see the look on Danas face when he weighs in at 145 :D

35lbs is a huge cut, for anyone. For a FW its massive
    november fight here

I think he was born and bred in Belfast but moved to Scotland as a young adult and has lived there for ... hmm... 7 years? Longer?

So when he says he's from Scotland I guess he means that's where he lives, where his club is (dinky ninjas) and where he fights out of.

When he comes into the ring/octagon he would be refered to as "from ireland, fighting out of Scotland"
The from part might even get dropped sometimes

    If he makes the UFC

On the Tape of the Tape i guess it would say he was Irish

And based in Glasgow by way of Ireland

But also, does it really matter?

Well if he's successful we'll claim him as one of our own, it he's not we'll throw him to the Jocks :)

What format is this TUF taking, USA v Rest of the World or what ??

Anyone got an update on this?

TUF 14 airs in the US in mid-september. It's the featherweight division, and the bantamweight division.
It'd back to the usual format, 32 fighters (16 in each div) have to fight to make into the house. They skipped this last time and it was nearly as good.
The wild card picks are gone, its just old fashioned fight to win. 3 wins gets you to the finale (inc the fight into the house).
Being the first ever time for BWs and FWs the standard was pretty high I imagine. Former UFC and WEC fighters tried out afaik.

    Spoiler regarding Paul Mc Veigh
He made it through try outs and was chosen to be one of the 16 bantumweights fighting to get into the house
