EUR & US models appear to be region free (share the same coding), JAP models differ it seems.

Damn looks like I'll need a US or PAL model then:(

Ok think I've overdone it today. After putting in bids on nearly everything on ebay so I'd better not win too many of them

I wouldn't go and pay mad money on a Master System..any time I've seen them listed on ebay Ireland they sell for peanuts. Just keep an eye out!

Don't bid before the last ten seconds on an ebay item! Just don't do it!

    Don't, do it!

    Don't!

    No no no!

    No!!!!!!!

    Sink in that time?

    DON'T BID EARLY, EVER! EVVVVVVVVVVVVVVER.

It's a gigantic waste of money.

If its any use SMS 1 and 2 will work with a standard megadrive 1 psu and a bog standard RF cable.(The SMS 1 has a proper AV out so you can get and RGB cable for it though).

Nope, Pdbhp was in the market for one...just telling him they're cheap online & not to sink money into one :)

Obsessive freak that I am (or maybe I'm just a little bored), I went through all my Megadrive games to see how many had these little plastic things.

So many with the notch had the hanging tag cut off by idiots :( all they had to do is put it under the notch!!

Ah well, here are the ones that survived with both the notch and hanging tag -

    hangingtabs.jpg

I'd switched the Moonwalker, Xmen, Whiz n Liz and Fun n' Games so that's why it's there even though they're not blue games.

Pretty much have a definitive answer though - if it's a blue boarder game, and has the manual holders that slide over the manuals like this, then it has a notch for the hanging tag.

    adhfhsd.jpg

If it's a blue boarder game but has the clip in manual holders, no notch.

The oddities are - Sonic 3, Aladdin and The Jungle Book. They all have the double notch and Aladdin and the Jungle book aren't even blue boarder games. Plus Sonic 3 doesn't have a slidy manual holder.

But yeah, only 23 boxes out of about 160 or so. Tis a shame, they really help while storing.

Hah! Sorry dude! It just so happens to be the most minty fresh game I have so seems to get used in a lot of shots!

That closeup really shows how good the cover art is. Has to be one of my favourite cover drawings ever.

Also, I just noticed how dusty the tops of those clamshells are..eugh!

    Yeah it is really minty!

Heres this for sad, moved all my collection recently so i thought it was good a time as any to clean all my games. Lemon fragenced wipes ( for floors i think ) cleaned all my games cases, the outside of all and the inside of some. Only cleaned the inside of those ones that smell musty or smell like somones house, eugh. Well they are are lemonly fresh, be amazed the dirt that came off them

Can you get mint smelling wipes? That would be hilarious. :D

Speaking of smells, does anyone know how to get the smell of smoke out of fabric without damaging it?

My beautiful Nomad case smells like it came out of a cigarette factory which burned down. I smoked myself for years but have still never come across anything like this. You can smell it from across the room.

I febreezed the hell out of it, which took some of the edge off..but you can still smell it up close.

Only option is to air it out but then I don't want to put something so lovely out in the elements!

Febreeze is bull****! Only way you get the smell out with with some fairy liquid and a hot cloth

I was about to say air it as much as possible but with our weather you'd need to keep a close eye on it, and make sure it's anchored down seeing you're up high! It wouldn't do to have it blow off the balcony in through johnny scumbag's window. :pac:

You reckon that'd be alright? I'd hate to do that and somehow ruin the embroidered logos! Although, they do seem to be pretty well made and strong, I'm just a bit paranoid. Took so damn long to actually get one of these I'd be gutted if it was ruined.

It would blow off the balcony, get stuck on the arm of the crane across the road, and sit there, taunting me...I'd have no other choice but to send my girlfriend up to get it :D

Theres logos made from textile? Well in terms of the plastic a hot cloth + tiny drop of fairy is the best way I've found to get smells out

The case itself is a synthetic canvas type fiber, like the waterproof kind you get schoolbags made out of (but a bit softer). So that's grand for washing. But the Sega and Nomad logos are stitched in, looks like sewing machine work.

Right pay no attention to me! I made a big mistake, I saw case and I thought you meant your arcade candy cab! haha

Well I wouldnt say it makes any difference, I'd say you could wash it, cold to stop colours running, or even bring it to a dry cleaners

Hah! a knitted candy cab, that could be interesting :)

I'll try hand washing it in cold water and see how that goes.

haha yeah, I'm too tired and sexed up to be giving advice! But a tiny bit of fairy liqud, some cold (not freezing) water, just kinda rinse it out and then leave it outside to dry, make sure its secure.

You might see someone under your balcony with a basket just incase!
