We only have 8 candidates here

Some areas like Wicklow have over 20, good for them

    1 Ind
    2 FF

    That's it

    1: FG
    2: SF
    3: FG
    4: Independant

Might seem strange not having the two FGs together, but I based my vote both for my local area, and the country as a whole.
If that's the case I probably should've voted Labour, but who's to say?

Yet, your profile says that you voted in the GE poll!? Hypocritical much. Your vote goes to someone else then. It's your democratic right to vote. Use it.

I would be much closer to Labour in terms of social policy, but nothing they have said on the economy recently has convinced me to give them a vote I am afraid. :o

Seems quite a few peeps are giving FF last preferences!! Folks, you don't have to go past 1 if you don't want to. Anyone who wants to see FF out should NOT GIVE THEM ANY PREFERENCE. Just vote for who you want in order of your choice and leave off anyone you really don't want (FF for many people I imagine!)

I NEVER voted for FF before, but I gave them 7th and 8th as I don't like Labour!

It's perfectly valid to do that though. People giving FF there last preferences because they think that they either have to vote to the bottom or because they think giving FF their lowest preference "sends them a message" is what i'm getting at.

You voted for FF because you prefer them to Labour, this is of course valid.

    Dublin South Central:

    1. Collins (People Before Profit/United Left Alliance)
    2. Conaghan (Labour)
    3. Byrne (Labour)
    4. O'Snodaigh (Sinn Fein)

    Voted about an hour ago.

I would sooner stab myself in the eye with my own severed penis than give my vote to FF or FG.

Ok - here's mine (Dublin South Central). 18 candidates - 17 votes - the one FF candidate in my constituency doesn't get to make an appearance on my ballot. Five seats are up for grabs here.
    • Labour gets 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
    • ULA gets 4th.
    • SF gets 5th.

      Then

    • Seven random Independents (honestly, trying to learn about some of these guys is a nightmare. No proper websites; I have never got any leaflets; certainly have never met one of them - do these guys actually want to be elected??).
    • Green (I put this guy in the middle of the Independents 'cause at least he actually has a manifesto, as opposed to a few of the Indos!).
    • Christian Solitary Party
    • And FG gets my final three votes. (I'm not totally against FG, but don't want to risk them getting in as a sole governmental party. Saying that, after a lot of thought, I'm giving them my last votes, even though this may backfire on me, because I want to put FF in the lowest possible position I can).
And there we have it. All to be done now is wait!!

    1. Labour
    2. FG
    3. FG
    4. Independent
    5. Independent
    6. FG
All others blank, as I left out the obvious suspects of FF & Green, along with what seemed to be a single-issue Independent.
