$99 is the price of the proposed official 7.1 headset when it gets released in the States. They aren't the same set.

If the official headset is good (and it looks God-ugly) it'll have to drive prices down for sets like the PX5.

I don't know what to do, tbh.

I would recommend Sharkoon Xtatic headphones for the PS3. You can get them from Peats for 109 euros :)

thats a very good price for quality 5.1 phones. was a throw up between them and AX Pro when I was shopping for them couple months ago.

Really tempted by those Sharkoon ones. Wanted wireless ideally, but those look decent.

Got a few bets on the go this weekend. If they come in then I think I might pick that up on Monday.

I'm considering buy the Turtle Beach PX5 headset but I've noticed one or two people complaining on youtube about the 2.4 GHz RF signal which interferes with their router using the same signal. Has anyone here, have the same problem with them ?

    No such problem for me.

Had this problem with the X41's traded in for the wired Triton headset and haven't looked back.

Were you very close to the wireless router?

I still don't know what to do about all this. I'd settled on the Sharkoons but I've read a lot of reviews and I don't think they're going to work with the set-up of my front room, especially with regards to the power supply for the headset itself.

But with the PX5 I'm slightly put off about possible interference on the RF signal and also about burning through batteries (how long would a set of rechargables last?)

I've got a lot of vouchers for Argos through work but even though the PX5 got added to their catalogue a month ago, every time I've checked there's not been a single one in stock anywhere in the country.

There's one available in Carlow, if thats any help. But i checked amazon.co.uk and including delivery, i can get them for €202.00!

I find them very comfortable yep. I've used them for 2 hours at a time mostly and I've never had to take them off or anything due to discomfort.

They're €202 from Amazon but if you're serious about your sound, i'd definitely recommend them.

I've used the Tritton AX Pro.

Both are great headsets but I opted for wireless and went with Turtle Beach. :)
