Just crap, really crap

Ok, I'm getting increasingly frustrated especially after last night after playing hq on blips and not being able to get more than 5 kills.

Everytime I turned I was killed!

What am I missing here, lads getting between 40 and 60 kills with little or no aiming problems or recoil.

Any suggestions or tips?

hmmm, hard to say without watching you play tbh. Maybe ask ade or lee.. i think those guys broke the 10kills/pergame barrier last week.

Learn the maps very well, especially the high action areas and learn routes that you can take that will allow you to flank the opposition, don't just blindly run into the front of them (at least not if you can't dropshot/effectively use cover)

1. AK74u or one from (Famas/Gallil/AK47)
Find a fav gun and stick with it for a while
2. Dual Mags or use RDS if having difficuly aiming
3. Perks: Hardcore pro
4. RC Car/ Care Pack / Helicopter
5. Play Free For All
6. Claymores

I'd actually have to say, headquaters is pretty much about camping. The HQ is usually surrounded by people waiting for you to run up to it to pick you off for a while until the HQ is active, then guys capture it and still have people outside to pick people off (If they are a good team)

Unless you are playing with 2+ friends, I wouldn't advise playing HQ because team chat is pretty much dead in BO with all the party chat (I still like abusing people in the lobby ) And if you come up against a half decent team, you're pretty much fucked

you dont need to be awesome to be in a clan, its fun, and you learn from playing with the same guys, you see how stuff is done, different games types require different strategies etc

ok im averaging 25-30 kills a game deaths vary from 1 to 20. depends on how you play but anyway here is a few tips for you and my classes.
1. up your speed of turning from 2 to 4 or 5 im using 5. it takes a while to get used to it but when you do you can turn on a guy who is shooting you in the back and 50 percent of the time you will kill him.
2. always use an assault rifle, most people use subs it takes less bullets using an assault rifle. i use the famas.
3.dont forget to plant your claymore vital in any game it will save your ass alot.
4. get your pros, what ever perks your using the pros are better. it takes time but well worth it.
ok here is what im using
primary weapon, famas with red dot.
secondary weapon, either python or law depending on game
semtex, concussion, and claymore

perks(most important)
1, ghost pro. you are invisible and choppers cant see you
2, slight of hand pro, faster aiming and fast reloading(vital in this game)
3, marathon pro, having this will help you get back to the place you were last killed faster which will give you an increased chance of killing the guy who killed you.

i hope this helps. use it and you will clean up i promise, or your money back. ha ha. best of luck guys

I'm sorry if this works for you but that is terrible advice. Dual mags is one of the worst attachments to have on your gun since the likes of extended mags and suppressor are far superior. Using the RC car may give you a quick easy kill but spy planes are far superior and don't leave you lying down and defenseless for 20 seconds. Free for all and Hardcore are full of campers and will make you tear your hair out. Also while it is the most used/overpowered gun in the game, I don't like people encouraging others to use the AK74u but that's just an annoyance more than anything.

my advice is to try everything until you find something that works for you. No point in listening to what works for everyone else.

Whats wrong with dual mags? Its like having Scavenger as a 4th perk. Plus an assault rifle with 30 rounds on average per clip is enough for me to kill one person. It only takes 3 bullets or so

I use dual mags on most of my classes . Iron sights usually suffice for me so the extra quick reload and extra ammo is great .

Extended mags on every class for me, usually with flak jacket/ slight of hand and marathon. Dual mags arent a bad option, but not for a beginner... because lets be honest, they're not going to benifit from extra ammo.

For a beginner... hmm.. i'd recommend using the commando with a red dot. Stick on flak jacket, slight of hand and possibly hacker (I know it doesnt make sense using it with flak jacket, but the rest of the perks are useless for a noob imo). Sem/flash/claymore.

Just take it slowly, put your claymore on a corner when you spawn and move slowly, aim down sight when turning corners or flash around the corner first. Other than that... just keep playing and you'll get better soon enough. Also, i'd recommend sticking to TDM, or at least know what each gametype is about. If you're playing dom, capture your spawn flag and then defend it.

Turn your sensitivity up to 6 or so, nothing funnier than watching a noob with medium sensitivity aiming down the sites taking an hour to get you as you walk across his screen

And dont do that ^ Keep it at about 4, maybe even 3. Yeah you might be slow up close, but even with a high sens you'll still probably be aiming all over the place. Better keep the sens low and your accuracy a bit higher. You'll beable to pick people off easier. 4 is still pretty mobile anyway.

In fairness Liamo it works for me but I can see how the set up wouldn't be for everyone. I'm only average at best.

RC car in FFA has won me a fair few games. In any other gamemode I'll use Spy plane. Dual mags for the quicker reload and especially the extra bullets although I take Magill's point that if you aren't good or new this may not be worth it. The AK74u is probably the most balanced gun and us noobs should use it to our advanatge. I don't play hardcore I meant hardline pro :eek: (idiot Gim). Nothing better than changing an ammo drop into Dogs

Anyway a better player wouldn't need to use the cheap tactics I do.

Spyplane is probably the most important killstreak for FFA games RC car will only get you one kill that you probably would have gotten anyway if you walking about with your gun. Knowing where most of the other players are is great.

It's just down to my inability to multi-task. I'm constantly getting killed while watching the little red dots
In a team based game it's a no brainer.

i dont know what it is with my conn but when i get killed in the same way on xbox its usually they are on 4bar conn and im at 2bar yellow. Like wtf.

I have dual mags on 90% of set ups... it's a brilliant attachment. The faster reload times mean I can put steady aim on instead of sleight of hand.
If I'm hung over or tired I normally switch it out for a red dot or reflex sight though

Note: I agree that for a noob it's not as useful.

If anything it's the opposite. At least in a team game other people will be putting up spy planes for you. And you can take out multiple people going for objectives with the cars.
In FFA, without spy plane you're blind throughout. And in all likelihood you'll only get one kill from the RC car. Knowing where people are can/will mean way more kills.

In saying that....still use spy plane. I fecking hate those damn cars. :pac:

After playing with an assault rifle for ages and getting murdered a LOT, (average i'd get would be 11-5) i switched to an smg. Now ive been getting scores in the region of 35-7.

Maybe OP your playstyle doesnt suit the weapon youre using...
