I think if you have a limited licence they can't be shoot

    Limited Licence
This is a firearms certificate for a shotgun, which is only granted to land-holders or persons nominated by land-holders to protect crops from vermin. Vermin include rodents, crows and unprotected species of wildlife. Limited firearms certificates do not cover the shooting of any type of game.
If you are not a land-holder, you must obtain shooting rights from two or three land-holders in advance of your application and bring evidence of this to your local Garda Station. You will also be required to complete an application form in the presence of the Garda who will then forward your application to the Superintendent of your police district and include recommendations on your application. The Superintendent of your police district will grant or refuse your application.

    Direct opposite son, unlimited.

However in essence if you ticked hunting on your FCA1 you can shoot hares in season with a shotgun ONLY

    oops my bad!

Anyway that was the old days

    Thats the present day.

    Section 1 of the FCA1:

    Type of application
    Firearms Certificate
    Restricted Firearms Certificate
    LIMITED Firearms Certificate
    Training Certificate
    Substitution of Firearm
If you ticked hunting on application you can shoot game in season, if you ticked firearm cert you can only shoot vermin

If you tick firearm cert you get a full firearms license. If you tick HUNTING in section 4.2: Reason why this type of firearm is required, then you can shoot game, vermin etc as this is the REASON you want the firearm.

Section 5.1; Wildlife Act Requirements. You tick this if you intend to shoot any game covered by the Wildlife Act, pheasant, Hare, Deer, etc, etc.
