Even stuff like the gear shaking when you run was always a biggy as well.

hope the announcers are better than the ones at COD XP though, didnt like the French one at all, hope the Spetsnaz guy is back though "enumy ac-130 abovvvvvvve!"

the footsteps are very impressive in MW2 and 3 from what I've heard, Blops ones were ****ing horrid, was just a random collection of noise didnt match your on screen actions at all, in MW2 you can hear your feet scuff surfaces as you climb and running from metal to dirt has a distinct sound instead of random clanging

Absolutely. MW2 was great for sound, you could predict where the enemy was and it added to your arsenal. Black Ops is terribly poor by that standard. You run for six or seven steps silently and then the sound catches up. It's off-putting.

yea sound was never the strongest part of blops.. was very very poor!!

I cant wait to get back to the sights and sounds of MW3.. I just hope it aint as frustrating as MW2..

I hope the voiceovers are intense. Loud and dramatic as you would expect like the V.O. you mentioned. Adds to the atmosphere greatly

Ice cube sounded like he stoned off his box doing the one for Blops "enumy spahplane inbound..."

they should have them context sensistive. like say during a game of S&D it should be quieter like the announcer whispering "enemy uav spotted, watch your backs." since most people try to be quiet as possible in a tense game of s&d, but in a ground war where kills are racking up fast it should be louder and more intense. "heads uppp, enemy uav spotted!"

I dunno, maybe its wishful thinking but it'd do a lot to up the atmosphere in the matches, I know some people hate the in game music playing during a game but I love it, really cranks the tension, I used to have some of the action music from the hans zimmer score playing on the xbox during big matches, was great.

His version of "Enemy. RC. XD. Inbound." nearly had me trading in the game when it first came out. He's incredibly annoying. :pac:

Interesting that there are other ways to earn prestige points, maybe through challenges in elite or something

has the list of teams on MP been made public yet? theres definitely the Spetz, the Rangers, the SEALS, the French, are TF141 back? and I'd say the African militia are the other ones

so no TF141 in the teams, makes sense I guess since Price and Soap are the only two left. its odd tha Opfor are still in it, wonder how much of the game if any is in Afghanistan, hardly any of MW2 was and the people you fought there were Russian and American. they were a bigger part of COD4

^ good if they've slowed down the snipers, made NO sense that a guy running around with a 50cal Barret was faster than a guy with an AUG or something

The speed proficiency (basically light weight) is reserved for snipers and riot shields only.

in MW3? suppose its better if the riot shield guys are little bit faster, not lightweight fast but not as slow as they were in MW2

I've a similar plan but I'm gonna set the game to install as I wait for the pizza and I'm gonna see what the story is with COD Elite on Xbox while eating. Also, maybe a pint or two before going to the line! I'm getting excited! :D Gonna be an all-nighter and then some. I want to have 10 hours racked up by the time I sleep! :D

Sledgehammer Games general manager Glen Schofield has responded again to criticism of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3′s ageing engine. “I’ve worked on a lot of engines over my lifetime and spent a lot of time putting graphics in to them and this thing is a Porsche,” Schofield told CVG. “And what I mean by that is that it is stream-lined, everything in it is perfectly freaking clean. You can tell it’s been worked on for years. It’s easy to upgrade. “We worked with engines before that are like ****ing spaghetti. You can’t work on a part and put it back in without messing with everything else. “I’ve said this before – I’m not shipping an engine, I’m shipping a game. So that’s why I’m going to talk about the game. You can talk about your engine all you want. It’s not fun.” Schofield said that despite utilising the same engine, the upgradable nature of the tech means Modern Warfare 3′s levels are much bigger, and have greater verticality, than Modern warfare 2′s – on top of graphical improvements. “If you put Modern Warfare 2 next to Modern Warfare 3 you would see a huge difference. Look at all the character models, look at all the gun models, look at the reflections, look at the water. “There is so much that we’ve added, so when someone says ‘cut and paste’, I don’t even want to talk to them because they don’t know. They just don’t know. They have no idea.” Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 arrives on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November.

I prefer to get up early and have the entire day to play, feeling grand. Playing all night will leave you in bed wreaked the next day
