Ruined the game, although it was a dangerous tackle definitely.

Oh well, thought Liverpool looked ok up until then.

I don't think any reasonable Liverpool fan can excuse that Gerrard tackle. It was disgraceful.

Jesus, 35 mins, a goal and a red card is all it took for Utds fans to realise they were in a football stadium. Did they just get there or what?

Woops, spoke too soon, one chant and they are back out at the bars again.

Could be worse, they could sing the same two songs for 90 minutes.

It was very far from it to be honest.

    only about 10 yards;)

Pool fans: Dont embarrass yourselves with this Howard Webb shite, it's a red all day long.

there's maybe 1 or 2, maybe, who say it wasn't red.

stop trying to see stuff that's not there.

any moaning about Webb is about the controversial penalty.

Two feet off the ground from Rafael and not even a free? Joke decision.

One of the problem with football is that pundits, commentator, players, managers and fans refuse to accept the rules.
    .

No, the problem is the idiots makign the rules.

Evenn Kenny Dalglish would admit that's a red, he just saw the replay.

I thought monitors werent allowed on the side of the pitch?

I thought it was a harsh red, it was a hospital pass by raf, I think a yellow would of been right

This is poor game so far I feel.
It has passion yes, but lack technique.
Gerrard tackle could have broken leg, no excuse.
I hope Liverpool score so that game improve.

Yeah, still a disgraceful decision for the penalty.

Didn't think it was a red initially, no doubt in the replay though.

Two footed lunge, off the ground, has to go for that. The completely impartial Jim Beglin thinks its harsh and merited a yellow.

Juust like rafas jump at at raul only raul seen it and got out of the way

ah now, they sing one at the start, go quiet for most of the first half and harp on about atmosphere when all they do is moan about the team.

    Nasty from Gerrard.

The bitterness by Beglin is hilarious :D.

It was definitely a red as far as I could see, I just hope the others who are saying so remember the next time there's a similar tackle that hits a standing leg rather than someone already on the ground.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,618 ✭✭✭The Sparrow

No, the problem is the idiots makign the rules.

Is it an idiotic rule that a two footed lunge off the ground that can break a leg is banned and punished with a straight red?

Webb gives red card and penalty at old trafford shocker.

Cant really argue against the red, i just hope Webb hasnt ruined the game when he could have issued a yellow.
