Muse wouldn't be my cup of tea now. I wish I was going to Oxegen this year, the line up is amazing. Arctic Monkeys are playing... If only they'd play a gig in the o2 or something so I could actually go.

I wanna be old enough to go to Electric Picnic moreso than Oxegen tbh. It's like a big meet of all my favourite bands...ah well, two more years.

See, whereas EP usually has all my favourite bands (and is also a great place to find new ones), I imagine that Oxegen would just be a bit more craic, considering all of my friends intend to go there next year.

Oh yeah, Oxegen would be way better craic, but the plan is to go to both in the end. Oxegen first, and Electric Picnic the next year. If I get really really lucky, I'll have gotten a volunteer position there so I can go for free! (Yes, I plan ahead. )

I'm too young to go to Oxegen until LC summer though, what with my birthday always just a few weeks after it.

EDIT: Oh wait, I just remembered most of my good friends have awful music taste....Oxegen may be a little less awesome...

You'd be surprised how Oxegen can change some people though. This was what the conversation was like when I was talking to a friend with usually bad taste in music:

"What were your favourite bands at Oxegen?"
"Two Door Cinema Club, Arcade Fire, Muse, Mumford & Sons..."
"Do you listen to any of these bands? And wait, Mumford & Sons? You didn't go to Eminem?"
"No, not really. Eminem was **** anyway so I left."


Thing about Oxe is that if you convince people to go to good live bands instead of chart topping bands, it's awesome.

Not only that but I preferred the Oxegen lineup to Electric Picnic 2010, take a look at this:
Oxegen VS EP (Green being bands I want to see, Red being bands I want to avoid, nothing means.. nothing)
EDIT: just an error, Tinie Tempah was meant to be red, not green :P

That said, Oxegen is pretty decent, what with TDCC appearing there too and Arcade Fire and everyone else you highlighted (errr...particularly Tinie Tempah :P).

I want to be seventeen....:(

I'm with you there, but I've only ever heard one of their albums (no bonus points for guessing which one :P ). I've been meaning to download their second (and possibly try to find their first).

Also, ha, not being in the JC and being old enough to go to Oxe in... 2012 (THE LAST OXEGEN IN THE UNIVERSE) should rock... if they have a lineup as good as the 2010 one (remember, despite what you'd think, it was Oxegen and not EP who had Yeasayer. That's got to be the most surprising part of the lineups IMO )

I youtubed a few of their other songs, major disappointment. Hospice is amazing and everything else pales in comparison. I don't want to look any further tbh, I love hospice too much.:P

And I need to listen to more Yeasayer. Put their album on my pod so might give them a proper chance tomorrow!
