blablabla, get some responsibility into you. don't rely on moodle to pass your exams. you could have downloaded all the notes years ago, now it crashes and you're having a mental seizure about it.

Are you on the wind up? I don't know about you but I'd at least expect my colleges website to be up and running the whole time. It's been down for at least 24 hours now and nothing has been done about it.

I'm not! I am relying on it to help me get a 1:1 or 2:1 rather than just a pass. This coupled with access to all of the online Law jornals and databases which can ONLY be accessed through DCU website and can NOT be saved to one's computer. <mod snip - lets not get personal here>

no, i'm just being realistic. i believe students have it much easier than other students did 20 years ago. we also don't live in the past, however - i think the mentality of being so stubborn towards nearly every aspect of college except for maybe the odd piss you take in the jacks amazes me. maybe the flushing in the toilets is a little too slow? did you ever think of criticizing that?

as I said; you had a year, literally, to download all the moodle notes. as for moodle being down, though shit- the brutal honesty is that the IT technician that is responsible for moodle.dcu doesn't give a shit about you. it'll be fixed soon, and this will all be forgotten -

Literally a year? Literally? I suggest you look up "year" in a dictionary and find out it's much longer than 4 months.

Stop using this thread as an excuse to exercise your "I hate students" bull ****. Start a new thread to rant about how lazy, immature, selfish etc you think students are. I don't give a **** about this, I just care about getting through this final year the best way I can and moodle is ESSENTIAL for this. Why is this so hard for you to accept? Yes, a legitimate complaint for once! Wow, shocking as it must sound to your ignorant ears! And please do not respond with your mindless spewl without even having the respect to read my previous post. I explained how Law journals were ESSENTIAL to my exam success and I cannot even access them. <snip>

Another problem is that students who pay fees, such as postgrads like myself have until tomorrow to pay online (or be hit be a late payment fee) and the website to do this is down also, it is ridiculous!!

Are you being serious? It's not just moodle that's down, access to past exam papers is down too. There is no access to journals either.

Guys, cool it. I understand that people are stressed but there's no reason this discussion can't be handled in a civilised manner.

    INTRA site was down too...

Also, I have a lot of my notes printed off (As I like to make my own notes on them during the lecture) However Sometimes they're too small to properly make out detailed diagrams etc and I need the moodle version aswell.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

And just to add to what Attol said above the abusive posts have been deleted. Anyone that gets personal in all this from now on will be infracted or banned. Attack the post not the poster.

Are you suggesting that I should have saved every single article/slide presentation/link that is on my entire moodle curriculum in the event that moodle would go down 2 weeks from exams?? Do you save all of your favorite websites off of the internet in case your internet connection goes down? No you don't so stop talking **** you child and get lost if you have nothing constructive to contribute to this thread.

well I have saved all powerpoints and word documents onto my laptop, in case of this problem.

So it isn't an absurd idea.
