Did you get round to using these Tack?
Or, to Intershoot, has anyone else used and commented on them?

Not as accurate as Hornady TAP 155grain.

However they are devestating on impact.
A friend of mine has shot several deer with some he got off sam.

I plan on getting another box or two in the new year

Really? What kind of groups were ya getting?

    Hornady TAP 3 shot clover.
    HPS a small bit larger ~1/2-3/4" @ 100 yards

    €179/100 rounds €1.79
    Hornady 20 Box Tap €45 x 5= €225 or €2.25 a round

hornady perhaps better for longer range Varminting, but the price Vs accuracy is a small trade off on deer as the difference is minimal between HPS and Hornady.

I struggle to get the Hornady TAP ammo. I was trying to get Hornady TAP 110grain to no avail prior to HPS route

HPS is on the White target, Hornady TAP 155grain on brown

SD was 12 from HPS and 9 from TAP

I have not grouped better with either.

Best groups to date were with Remington Match Ammo

Was in Stakelums tonight getting a few bits and bobs and he has a fresh stock of Hornady TAP in .308 cal in. I actually got a couple of the Horndy Super performance. Going to try it out as soon as the new license comes through. Not wasting it in the Target rifle.

    What grain weight?
    Edit

If he has a few boxes of 150 Super performance find out prices please!!

    Data off http://www.hornady.com/store/308-Win-150-gr-GMX-superformance/
    Looks good, but expensive

Either 150 or 155, cannot remember exactly.

He has the Super Performance in 150gr @ 42.90 per 20. I bought 2 boxes so thats why it sticks in my mind. Haven't had to pay that much for 20 bullets in a while.

I got a couple of boxes of the 150gr superformance. I got a half hour the other evening to check 0 after I cleaned it thouraly. First 3 shots just less than an inch and 3 clicks to the left once I adjusted for windage and gave it a couple of min to cool down I shot another group all touching. That was shot leaning on a mound of Cley with no back rest or bi pod.
I'm very happy with them so far.
I need to do a chart up for them next

I had some of the 125gr stuff fron intershot
I found it very good and consistent. I would get it again. I shot a couple of deer with them and hod no problem. The were running @ 2950 fps out of my 22.5" barrel

    Lads,
A .308 has a lot of oomph - why so light a bullet? What kit (barrel length and twist) and/or sport/game wants to be fed the 125gr?

The lightest I can feed by 30-06 is 150gr. A few years back I learned she only wants to it 185gr.

The lighter the bullet, the higher the MV, the flatter the shooting. Also, with a ballistic tip, more speed gives you higher explosive power on impact. But it’s a trade-off as the lighter bullet will slow down quicker and be blown about by the wind more. Grand for short to mid range shooting out to say 500yard.

So, the 125's and 110's seem like a tasty "little" round for fox's maybe. ;)
I know, .308 is a bit overkill for them, but its only an interim thing.

Nothing wrong with shooting a fox with a .308. I have shot a few of them with mine. The I 125gr is a great round for fox and deer.

normally I use the 223 for foxes but when out with the 308 stalking deer on my permissions and come across a fox on the way back I will take the shot keeps the farmer happy, got three the other day using 150gr fusions they leave some exit wound under the 100/150yrds .got a running broadside shot @100yrds on one which sent him tumbling front leg was completely severed found it about six feet from the carcass the other two shots where 220/250 yrds chest shots no exit wounds.as with all calibers once you have a good safe backstop there should be no problems
