    That's the old weave finish. The newer ones are matt UD, much nicer IMO.

    Pics of mine here.

    I was told they were pre-production, so the finish may be slightly different on more recent ones.

    Hi Savedbythebell, other than the weight and materials of construction, is there any other difference between the C4.0 & S4.0. Do you still achieve the increased speed with the S4.0 or would the C4.0 be notably better?

    Faster wheels tend to have deep rims and a low spoke count, but the aero advantages of deep v-section rims with 23mm tyres are pretty marginal.

    Many, many thousands of euro.

    Nah, I got em second hand, for a (relative) song, seeing as it's a ca two grand wheelset new. :eek:

    probably cost more than my mtb :( feckin wish i had that kind of money haha
