    Id love to be a mod of something in my lifetime. Even if I didn't do much or was a board of something insignificant like the Korean language board which has gotten about 3 posts in the last 10 years. I just want the feeling of higher status. To be honest Id do a great job too if I was mod of a forum or board I like and frequent and enjoy a lot. I'm pretty new to board.ie so no chance of becoming one here for a while :rolleyes:.

    I've always wondered how to become one, do you just get recommended by other mods as that sticky thread says of yer lad beggin to be a mod or is it some sort of sick sadistic satanic ritual?! Oooh a last man standing brawl sounds deadly! A bunch of users show up at the pub, and bate the heads of each other, last man standing gets to be a mod!

    I heard a vicious rumor that Mod school is located in the same building as clown college.

    You need to have land and a certain amount of livestock, a safepass wouldn't harm your case either.

    No requirement that there must be 1 mod per x number of users. Mod vacancies arise due a mod leaving , forum traffic increasing or existing mods are finding they need a hand.

    Contrary to what the wags say there is no requirement to perform sexual services , be a freemason or anything else , rather a track record of positive and frequent contributions to the forum and a reasonably clean record - the very odd infraction is not a big deal but if you get an infraction once a week then it's unlikely the Admins will give the seal of approval.

    Being a warm and beautiful person does help though :p

    I would imagine one would need to be able to read/understand Korean but who knows ?

    It's true. And with that kind of specialised training, a mod's shoes are hard to fill.
