My question is just as above, are you able to say register two .22s?

I was sure I saw somewhere you can only have one firearm is each class?

    Jap gt has it right.

As many as you want, as long as you have good reason and adequate security.

Yes is the short answer as long as you have a good reasion,
    say
a .22 bolt action for rabbit / pest control.
a .22 semi auto for gallery rifle competition
a .22 bolt action target rifle for 50m bench
    a .22 pistol for 25m pistol comp

then we need about another 16 centrefire rifles...ha ha:D:D

+1 jap gt. There's plenty of folks out there with more than one 12g shotgun or rifle in identical calibre. As long as you can give a reasonable explanation as to why you want it no reasonable authorising Garda will deny you the cert.

As above and I'll add.............as long as your Super/Chief Super agrees

My Super apparently will not licence two of anything in same calibre !
