Doesnt look like this will much really for leinster ( Dublin ) ,

The wind direction seems to be pushing the more intense falls away from us, and the weaker ones wil probably fizzle out by the time they get here......:(

Moderately heavy sleet here for the past 10 minutes, first time its been heavy for more than a couple of minutes so I'm guessing this is the main event now. Shame because it looked promising for a while.

Much like Friday night we've got nothing while Donegal town seems to be getting plenty of snow!

well it's looks like game over here. there is sleet falling at -2c. the bbc precipitation chart looks to be right once again. well maybe it'll turn to snow yet, but i doubt it.

Anyone over on the Dublin side, expect some light snow later this evening. The front is very scattered and slow moving, it'll probably still hang over the South and East coast all night by the looks of things

Central belt of Scotland is getting plastered with heavy snow since about 08.30. Have alook at the traffic cameras along the M8 between Glasgow and Edinburgh

looks like fairly wet stuff, nevertheless, reports indicate that it turns to rain on the backedge.

    :-(

The flakes are tiny here compared to what you're getting Irish, still pouring down but a lot is melting as soon as it hits the ground.

Its heavy enough so everything is still white again but if the flakes got bigger we'd actually get a great covering right now

    Hi All,

Correct me if i am wrong, but was the front that is moving down Scotland originally forcast for Ireland? Or are we getting what was always forcast?

Ya not think it'll just fizzle out mostly by the time it reaches here?

I could see this - what I'm getting - turning to snow further inland, you can see the sleety bits wishing they were flakes.
