Back open according to the SU's facebook. No water however.

So now you can totally tell the people working there what lazy assholes they are in person.
    Yay!

They're not lazy if it's open, if they'd closed it till January then that would have been the height of laziness.

I have one question for you, I'll make you an appointment with Paul Davis, the sports officer, will you go and repeat everything you said in this thread to him? I'm ****ing sick of the keyboard warriors on this site. Either put up or shut up.

Well seeing as the gym is open I have no problem with Paul Davis, the sports officer. If the gym was closed till January that would have been an absolute disgrace.

What do you want me to say to him? That I would have been hypothetically annoyed had the gym been unnecessarily closed for the next month? That I support tuition fees?

So you insulted the staff numerous times hypothetically did you? Anyway, good luck

Not once, I just disagreed when you said they were underpaid. Are you looking to fight me because I support tuition fees? That's doesn't reflect very well on your organisation does it?, 'FEE' I think it's called?

Fight you? Yeh, sure, call my secretary.

You're probably out campaigning because you really do think you deserve a taxpayer funded secretary? With a minimum of 12 weeks holidays a year with a pension courtesy of the taxpayer right?

I don't know what that means so this is probably a good place to leave this conversation. Good luck siphoning off tax payers money from hospitals, nursing homes and other deserving causes in the worst recession in decades I guess.

Who gets 12 weeks holidays a year, I work in NUIM and get 4 weeks annual leave, my salary has always had pension deductions, I pay to use the gym and do not expect gym staff to sit at a desk supervising the gym when temp in there is less than 4C. Check out the min temp recommendations in Irish workplaces.

Start another thread if you want to moan about fees or the public service.

Just to bring some closure to this one ....
I went to the gym last night. It is open, there's no heat, water or toilets but other than that its all good.

    Cheers

Yeah just to say I'm happy with the gym being open and the staff for working there etc. All I was sayng was if the gym had been closed for winter that would have been a joke. And it would. But that didn't happen so I've no problems.

I'm also not going to argue on the feckin internet about anything. I can see the internet is very important for this LeixlipRed character with his 4000+ posts but it isn't exactly a productive use of time so I won't be participating in any online debates, I just came in here to see what the craic was with the gym's closure. Have a good one.
