    I applied for the reserves back in 2009 and i havent heard a single thing back from public jobs..

    I am from Cork myself and applied for this region

    If im asked why didnt i join the reserves in an interview i will have an answer ready!!

    Did you ever follow up on this yourself? Did you initiate contact with anyone from publicjobs to enquire as to why you didn't hear of a stage1 (interview/report-writing) date for yourself?

    no i didnt,from previous experiences ringing that office is a waste of time,

    I don't know where this idea has come from but am afraid there is no truth in it at all. reserves have went full time in my station and not got it and then left the reserves.

    I also know of people in civil defence and red cross, omac and other voluntary organisations who didn't get full time either.

    Don't mean to knock anyone down but just sharing my stories... internally were told no recruitment till 2014 earliest, soon the better if u ask me and best of luck to those applying... the biggest problem we have these days is shortage of cars but thats another kettle of fish
