Hmm, how about Yamamori's for 7/7.30? Then drinks after. That'd leave plenty of time for people to get last buses home if needed.

I'm only aware of one Yamamori's in the city (the one beside the Liffey) but you can probably tell that despite living here for 2 years, I'm a total noob when it comes to Dublin :p Where's the other one?

The other one is on George's street. It has a bigger face on the outside but it's smaller on the inside and more crowded.

I prefer the one on the quays.

    Is Yamamori's being booked?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,164 ✭✭✭Konata

If I get definite numbers, I'll book it a few days before hand :)

Would people be going to Yamamori's for a bite to eat?

I'd be up for pubbing it up, but not for fooding it up, sorry.
Will ye be staying there after eating?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,164 ✭✭✭Konata

Yamamori's for food, followed by pub for drinks. Anyone can join at any part of the evening, you don't have to be there for all of it :P

Cool, I'll be outside Yamamori's for about 7pm so (:

Porterhouse says 21+ but most of the time they don't care if you're with older people.

We need but 2 more voted for Fibbers....Actually I want this event to succeed. The Porter House is my new choice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 773 ✭✭✭Cy_Revenant

    Which Porterhouse?

The one on Parliament Street is the only one acceptable :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 945 ✭✭✭gearoidof

    You mean Nassau Street, surely?

I agree the Temple Bar one's better, and I swear it's not just because Zaytoon is on its doorstep :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,503 ✭✭✭thefinalstage

The one of Nassau street is superior. I will however fold to popular opinion.

Ah lads, what are you on about, the Temple Bar one is much better!

And Zaytoon is a nice added touch, yes :D

Right - I'm gonna book Yamamori's on Tuesday so if anyone else thinks they'll be along, please say so before then :)

So far we have 8 confirmed attendees correct? Ye can check the list at the top to see if yer on it.

I'd love to join you guys for a few beers but alas, I'll be in New Zealand for the next 12 months... Hey, maybe next year :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 945 ✭✭✭gearoidof

Is this cancelled due to snow?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,164 ✭✭✭Konata

I'm thinking it'll have to be unfortunately. Everywhere is just crazy at the moment and the less I have to leave my house the better >_< Got stranded in town today for an extra hour or so due to bus cancellations - and then the LUAS was just insane with all the extra people!

Personally, unless there's a drastic improvement in the next 2 days (which is highly unlikely) I won't be going anyway. Others can feel free to go ahead if they wish but I'll try and organise something for the new year regardless.

    Damn you snow!

The same with me. It took me two hours to get home from Dublin tonight. I say propone the meet until Friday the 10th?

Clearly you guys just don't care about the forum enough to brave the weather.

    For shame.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,503 ✭✭✭thefinalstage

Meh, better to be warm and sober then freezing and drunk. I will show up whenever it's on.

Away with your trolling Pyggy :pac:

Yea, the transport situation is incredibly dodgy at the moment... and I don't feel like getting stuck in the city for long periods of time >_< And the cooooold. Oh the cold :(
