  • Somebody recommended www.running.ie as a good website to buy running gear online....Well I ordered nearly 100 euro of stuff 16 days ago and the money is gone out of my account but no sign of the gear. I emailed them to see what the story was but no reply...caveat emptor?:(

Not the first time someone has had the same issue with these guys

  • Irish Fit under another name. Get your money back and stay well away.

Thanks....beginner's mistake I guess. How do I get my money back though??:(

On that point, the post below was a shill. The poster was banned because every post he made was for shilling Irishfit (pretending to be a random punter when he actually has an interest in it). Could one of the mods delete that post (and mine after obviously).

Mod:That post has now been removed from the thread

Just email or phone and tell them you want to cancel your order. If they don't answer the phone there is a mobile number on their Irishfit webpage. You should have no issue getting your money back.

  • Thanks I rang yesterday and they sorted it out

I called in on Sunday and bought the M400.
Don't think you were there yourself but the Spanish(?) assistant was very helpful.

  • I'm looking for a decent jacket and a small backpack with hydration, both for running.
Anyone able recommend a shop around south Dublin, south M50 or Wicklow area with a good selection?
    Thanks

53 degrees north at the park shopping centre at exit 15, Carrickmines.

  • Called in to 53 Degrees North Carrickmines, very little in the way of running jackets, disappointing.

  • Do cycleways/runways do gait analysis? Run logic do I presume?

Run Logic do gait analysis alright, and I recommend going into them - there's also a good chance you'll be dealt with by an Olympian (Mick Clohisey) :)

I don't think Runways exists anymore.

Grand, I will try them over christmas anyway

I presumed they might have a smaller area inside cycleways, pity

  • New Balance store in Kildare Village and Under Armour pretty descent.

  • Seeing as Nike have let me down, I need some advice on Hoka 1 1. What does the fit tend to be like compared to other brands? Looking at their Mach 2.

EDIT: Ordered a pair. SportsDirect 50% off.

I’m using Hoka Mach 2 at the moment, I ordered a 10.5 on same site and I found the fit was more like 11. They are also wide fitting which I like. Cushioning is good but not as good as other Hokas I’ve had like the Clifton 5.

  • Heading to Dublin on Saturday and want to get new pair of runners. Anywhere in city centre do gait analysis?
