Neither! If I had to I'd choose takeaway since all I order is pizza and I can make that at home if I'm bothered.

    Preferred takeaway order?

    Taco Chips. Delicious. Nyom.

You're trapped on a desert island for years with one other person and finally, one day, help arrives in the form of a tiny fishing vessel. They only have room to rescue one of you and can't guarantee (for whatever reason) that the person who is left behind will ever be saved. Do you volunteer to stay on the island or insist on getting in that boat and getting the hell out of there? :pac:

    I'd probably stay.

You meet a man who will give you your deepest desire, but you have to kill someone. You don't know them and you don't know why he wants them killed. Would you do it?

I've always wanted to give Australia a go. Might do it some time since a cousin recently moved over there.

Think the new Government will be any use?

Depends. The pressure is certainly on, I don't think any slip ups or u-turns will be accepted by the opposition. There are a fair number of new TDs, which hopefully will be more idealistic and more likely to speak up.
Sinn Fein are always good for arguing anyway!

I guess it depends on what Labour do. I'd be worried about Labour/FG in the bed together, they have too many policy differences and if they end up just compromising on everything we could end up with very wishy washy policies.

Do you think all of this "oooh, woe is us, gubbermint blah di blah" is genuine cynism or just the usual Irish whinging?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,139 ✭✭✭-Trek-

Just the usual Irish whinging, don't worry it will be back to dole bashing and whinging about taxi drivers in a couple of weeks.

What is the longest you have ever stayed awake?

Luck is relative. Don't know. I don't win a lot of competitions etc but then I don't enter a lot :o:o

    Do semantics annoy you?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 234 ✭✭s3129

I'm afraid I don't know what semantics are so your question is wasted on me...

Does anyone want to briefly explain what semantics are?!

The word "semantics" itself denotes a range of ideas, from the popular to the highly technical. It is often used in ordinary language to denote a problem of understanding that comes down to word selection or connotation.
It means really two people being really anal arguing over exactly what a word means. I am awful for doing it sometimes.... It can be a fun argument though :o:o:o

Does the above mean I am really sad?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 234 ✭✭s3129

Na, I think I do that too, now that you've explained it to me!!

What has you up at this hour?
