If you could be just as rich and successful but as either an actor/actress with huge public fame and always being in the spotlight, or as author who manages to keep out of the public media domain but lacks the instant recognition and celebrity factor which would you prefer?

I'd like the second one. I'd like to be rich and famous, but the kind of famous where no one knows who I am til I introduce myself and people are all "Are you *that* reallyrose? :eek:"
