For many non-specialists, myself included, 'Darwinism' & 'evolution' are synonymous.

I'm a non specialist in gravity and I dont call it "Galileo-ism".

The OP mentioned Darwinism in her post also - perhaps she can help you in some way?

She mention that her mother said that she didn't believe in evolution and darwinism, I didn't cop because she evolution first.

Or do you just want to nitpick with me?

Nitpick? The term "Darwinism" was, and in plenty of places still is, used as an perjorative for Darwins theory of evolution. It seems to stem from the notably unscientific idea that if you give a theory/hypothesis a human name, you reduce its importance (by implying its just one guys idea) and that if you somehow discredit that guy, its the same as discrediting that idea. It bugs me no end when people use it, either to discredit evolution, or because they have unwittingly picked it up from those who try to discredit evolution.
