Free Beer, Pizza and PlayStation you say?

    I do say!

    You may or may not be aware of the PlayStation Hub over on South William Street here in Dublin. It's a place where you can go and play PlayStation games funnily enough in the run up to Christmas. You gan have an early look at upcoming titles, sample Move if you're already a PS3 owner and were thinking about buying it and you can even see 3D gaming in action (I had a go at the Motorstorm 3D which was a lot more interesting than I thought it might be). It's free to go to and is open from 12 until 6, Tuesdays to Sundays. I went to see it when it first opened and you can see that thread and some pics here.

    Because they think we're awesome, they've said we can have the run of the place on Wednesday evening next (27th) from 6:30 till 8:30 and they're gonna organise a few beers and some pizza so you won't fade away :)

    I have room for 25 people to come along, so please post here if you'd like to attend. If we have a HUGE number of people then we might even be able to squeeze a second night in, but that's a big might and lets not worry about that until we're over capacity for this first event.

    I'll be there too cause I'm dying to get a go at Gran Turismo 5 and Little Big Planet 2

    Dang it! I'd love to go, but i'm busy as well. Will try to get out of it, but i don't think games, beer and pizza are a good enough reason (they are to me, just not to her).

    Are you talking on-street parking, or in parking places? I'm talking about the latter. I don't know where you can park on-street near there... :(

    There are loads of spaces on that street!

    Also all loading bays are parkable after 7

    That's it, I'm cutting it off there as we've hit our limit. Anyone who's asked to come along has a spot. We can't accommodate friends I'm afraid with these numbers (the venue isn't tiny or anything, but I'd imagine it's only insured for certain numbers), so just the people who've posted here.

    I will see you all there at 6:30 tomorrow evening.

    One more thing - everyone attending is over 18 right?

    The last thing we need is to get in trouble for giving booze to minors. If you're really young looking, bring your ID for peace of mind for both the organisers and myself.

    Aye, thanks for setting it up Dav!

    I had some good fun at it. Finally got to try GT5 but I'm in two minds about it... will probably end up buying it though. :p
    I enjoyed Little Big Planet 2 also, didn't think I would first but its a fun game.

    That move stuff was fun but little bit of a novelty. I could see it working for tiger woods though, that looked awesome.
