show is awful, badly made, badly presented and bad format too, the 'dates' are as cheap and nasty as you get and the contestants both male and female leave a lot to be desired, Foley isn't funny and is as fake as they come, not a natural on tv at all, oh it's just dreadful tv, not impressed!:o

All the filming for the 2 seasons has been done. Unless they are running a 3rd season there will be no auditioning.

Horrible show! It makes me thank god that I am married. I would hate to be single if these are the sort of delusional women that are inflicted on the single blokes of this country.

If the girls were all stunning or had really bubbly personalities then their over the top rejections would seem some what justified but the majority of them are not even good-looking and they all seem to have superiority complexes and ridiculously high standards.

I dunno Richard... U clearly dislike everything about the show and the contestants (which is fine dont get me wrong, perfectly entitled to ur own opinion) But what im confused about is If u hate the show so much and clearly voice ur opinion on how 'bad' it is why do u continue to watch it and post about it? So u have something to do when ur sitting in on a friday night

Why is it sad? It's like calling somebody who likes eating steaks instead of burgers sad. Btw the majority of foreign women in this country are quite intelligent and are often bilingual so saying that they cannot understand English is very derogatory (especially since alot of Irish girls can't even string a proper sentence together in their native tongue).

Yikes, I'm so glad the embittered men here judging the entire Irish female population are in the minority, and by no means represent the entire male species as a whole.

Just like the contestants on "Take Me Out" don't represent all Irish women effectively.

You guys know the fussiest women were chosen at the auditions for a reason, right? Makes for controversial TV. I would have thought that much at least was obvious.

^ why not some balance and nice women?...we know girls were chosen for being super snooty/fussy, but some of them are deliberately overly fussy so as not to be voted off, and stay on the telly for ten weeks.

That's a question for the producers, though I'd be inclined to believe that their thought process behind it would be that balance + nice =/= entertaining viewing.

It's a bit unfair to tar all of us ladies with the same brush as the contestants. I'd say it's most likely that everyone on the show was encouraged to be as honest and outspoken as they possibly could at any given opportunity. And to be totally honest there were a couple of nice girls on that panel.

I find the premise totally cringe-worthy, personally. As one of the lads that was on the show commented to me, it's car-crash TV. Can be difficult to watch, sometimes you want to watch it from behind your sofa, cringing in embarrassment for some of the contestants. But you watch it anyway, baring in mind that it isn't meant to be overly serious. It's lighthearted entertainment that won't change the world and shouldn't be heralded as such.
