bullet getting stuck in chamber.

I have a CZ 452 .22lr. Sometimes the bullet gets stuck in the chamber. For example, if I bolt up and get the gun ready to shoot and for some reason decide not to take a shot, sometimes when I pull the bolt back the unfired bullet is left in the chamber. I would then have to get a knfe and slide it out. Its basically the bolt doesnt catch onto the rim of the bullet. (although it does if I fire the round).
The gun is new and I keep it spotless.
It hasnt happened in ages as I have been using Lapua ammo and they are lubed but now I have a box of winchesters and they are a dirty bullet.
Should I bring the gun to a gunsmith? It is a fairly rare occurance though.
    Thanks

id bet my life on it been your extractor this is a little hook or clip on the face of your bolt it hooks around the rim of the round and extracts it reaward when you open the bolt its either dirtry the spring behind it is weak or missing or the extractor itself is damaged or missing

could also be excessive fowling in breach end give the barrel a good clean out
the bullet could be getting wedged

I've often had that problem with CCI ammo in my CZ varmint.

Yeah It definitely the extractor thats not gripping the rim. I keep the barrell absoloutly spotless so that def not it.
Is this something I could sort out myself?

Heres the bolt. I think it looks ok.

Check the little recessed areas where the extractor goes into the breech face, each side of the chamber.
if a bit of crap gets stuck in there you can't always see it but it will prevent the extractors from gripping the rim of the cartridge.

I've been told that CZ chambers are tight and I've noticed on mine, that if I have to prise a round out, it seems to have rifling marks at the front of the bullet. I'd just stick with ammo that works in your rifle.

i had the same problem with a cz.22 it had turned out to be the bullet it use to happen the whole time with cci and the local gun dealer said to try winchester and did not have one problem after that

thats funny. Only seem to have a problem with winchester rounds.
CJHaughey I check that recessed area and there was a bit of grit in there. Cleaned it all out thanks. Will see if that sorts it.

I've seen this before - if you spray some oil on a Q-Tip and rub it around the chamber where the bullet sits, before you go out, it usually helps the shell extract freely without jamming.

Quick question, when was the last time you took the bolt apart/stripped it and cleaned it thoroughly?

Personally i won't let it go more than 6 months max between stripping it down and cleaning.

    Or buy a Remington :D

As the .22lr is so small crud builds up and can fill the extractor claw. Alcohol is the best grease/crud remover.

A lot of .22lr ammo is very greasy

In my experience with this kind of thing it is usually caused by the wax being stripped off the bullet as it is chambered. The wax gets squashed by the bolt face out to the side and starts to fill the extractor recess.
Some grit or other crap gets near the bolt face and gets squashed into the recess and the wax traps it and stops the extractors from moving behind the case rim.
I often found lead chips and other detritus stuck there from the bullets being pared as the are chambered.
