help finding thick rope

    perhaps someone could suggest to me where i could source a thick rope suitable for a gym - as a climbing rope - mybe one used to tie boats up with - any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Try marine parts direct in swords they have a good choice of rope.
    Or there is another place at Malahide marina.:)

    I've used "marine suppliers" a good few times now. I've found them very helpful and reasonably priced seeing as they mainly sell direct to commercial fishermen.
    Ask one of the lads nicely and they'll even splice loops and such into your rope.
    You can find them on the west pier in howth.
