    9:03 I think.

With a 1:10 swim. If only LCD could swim.........

If the run splits are correct he seems to have fallen apart a bit... If you splits ate correct, I know in Austria 70.3 they were not.

He is doing ok so far, on target...

Van hoenacker 7:45 new world record!! It was touted as ideal conditions for fast times today... unreal a 2:39 marathon off a 4:15 bike is simply stunning:eek::eek::eek:

Joyce wolfe a 5:03 bike off a 58 swim  There might be an Irish female reckord done today to boot...

I'm now praying for a light breezy cloudy 18 degrees next week

A little harsh. He has 10 minutes to play with for sub nine in the second half. I suspect he'll do it.

The ironman record stood for years until dolan broke it in 2009. Lastest two years. I suspect if the record is broken again today it won't last until the end of this month!

Joyce Wolfe almost matching Matts running speed  Are they all running downhill with a tailwind or something!

I think the short splits are always dodgy. Last 3m + split was sub 6.30s.

Seems some good Irish performers out of London - molloy, Muldoon chasing him and maguire chasing too.

LCDs record was 2nd in 25-29 ag in Austria in 2009 - I think. Molloy may have to finish very strong to make top 10 in 40-44!!

    Long way to go though.

    Molloy won't do it

    1.74 mi (27:12) 15:37/mi

thats why I said if the splits are correct which I doubt they are, he had a few 9 and 10 min/mile splits which can't be right.

Record the race report will have a good whack of walking in it.

Maybe he can't drink from cups either.

Ouch what happened there! Aint over yet though. Crap, hope he gets Kona at least....

How many slots in his AG for kona, anyone know?

Bike split slippages was a warning sign.

He'll need 6:15 per mile to break 9

High 6s per mile will get him the irish record though.

Wolfe definitely going to break Taz's record of 9.46.

Anybody got the live timing working by country? There seems to be an Irish race on out there!?

Splits are wrong for that segment - check out other runners, I don't think he's hit the wall

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,445 ✭✭✭mloc123

He is running again, high 6min/miles now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,207 ✭✭✭shotgunmcos

Wolfe definitely going to break Taz's record of 9.46.

For sure, she is very consistent thus far...

If that short segment was a glitch then Matt still gunning strongly...

King Quez well inside sub4 marathon pace on the run. If he can hold it together it could be low 11s

The run splits must be nonsense, hard to figure out if any of them are correct. Very strong AG it seems.

Someone just ran across the line waving an Irish flag at 8:48

    2.49 run 0_0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 767 ✭✭✭duffyshuffle

From Derry/Donegal from athlinks.com http://www.athlinks.com/myresultsadv.aspx?rid=45679165 and the irish flag :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,585 ✭✭✭✭tunney

"A sign of the times Martin Muldoon is yet another who travelled abroad for work. The Derry man races with Serpentine Club in London having launched his career 5 years ago. Germany in 2009 was his first attempt at the long distance race and he, like Declan Doyle, qualified at Ironman Switzerland this year. Martin's qualification is all the more impressive considering he claims to still be afraid of water!"

New record, everyone watching the wrong man.

    2:49 run. Respect.
