All your ranting and raving about respect and then you go show utter disrespect to someone who has invested time and effort into providing solid argument for evolution.

You cry and moan over and over about how nobody has 'W2M' evidence. oldrnwisr gets the debate started and then you just ignore it? You have been let off the hook for soapboxing for this long, but I think it's time you were banned. You are a complete joke.

I've bolded the damning part of the quote above. Don't ever claim that you treat posters with respect on this thread again. You've boldly stated that you just didn't bother with a post that had a lot of time, thought and effort put into it. It's incredibly disrespectful to oldrnwsr to state that you didn't read his post.

Do you ignore all posts? You owe one poster, and probably more, a massive apology for the disrespectful way you've not responded to the post(s).
As it so happens I did read his posts ... and I have responded with my views ... what more do you want????
... and where does it say that everybody on the thread has to read everybodies posts???

... and I respect oldrnwsr ... its just I've seen it all before.

No it's not. It's an excellent display of how evolution occurs through history to get us to modern man.

CFSI has nothing to do with evolution, or science for that matter. It remains an undefined property that allegedly bolsters the argument for creationism.

The quote above speaks for itself with the glaring ignorance of evolution.

Afraid not. It's clearly a post that is beyond your comprehension, but don't despair, JC. If you crack open a few books you may one day get to grips with the basics.

and btw, don't forget to apologise to the posters that you disrespected. It's the adult thing to do.
I haven't disrespected anybody ... I love you all (in a purely Christian way) ... despite the terrible things ye say about me and my fellow Creationists.

There's no such rule to read every post. But as you've been so vocal about the lack of evidence for evolution, don't be surprised if people aren't impressed when you ignore posts that show you're talking nonsense.

As long as you either ignore posts or lie about evidence being absent from the thread, you can expect people to point you to any posts that show evidence for evolution.
... and I respect oldrnwsr ... its just I've seen it all before.
If you respect oldrnwsr, you would have taken some time to put together a well thought out post countering his. Instead we get, "life's too short, I didn't bother".
I haven't disrespected anybody ... I love you all (in a purely Christian way) ... despite the terrible things ye say about me and my fellow Creationists.

Yes you have disrespected people, by continually repeating things that are incorrect and have been shown to be so on this very thread. If people don't temper their posts with regards to creationists, it's probably because a lot of people aren't fans of people who put great efforts into trying to destroy science by injecting their holy texts into the texts.

If you can read this, you're too close!

Religion has nothing to do with it. I just hate bad science and lies. And J C's attempts are easily the worst I've seen since I sneaked a peek at some childrens' exams my flatmate was correcting.

    Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw.

Don't even try to play the victim card again. You're the one who has AT SEVERAL TIMES in the past compared us to Nazi Holocaust enablers when we had the audacity to disagree with you.

So are you going to afford oldrnwisr's posts the respect they deserve? Not to mention the posts of everybody else you've dismissed with crappy one-liners instead of evidence?

Also the part where you believe really stupid things, but mostly the first one.

... but we don't accuse each other of being liars ... because none of us are liars.

you totally ignored the post, and now that it's been brought to light you claim you were going to address it. even though you dismissed it saying life is too short to go through the post. it's exactly this sort of double-speak that has done you no favours on this thread. respect is a two-way street, and you've received more than I expected considering how you've ignored so many posts on this thread. what it looks like now is a ham-fisted attempt at damage control by yourself.

Life's too short to hear about witches. Deal with oldrnwisr's posts. He's made a compelling case for evolution, and the fact that you are refusing to engage him only shows that you are scared of admitting that you don't have anything you can bring to bear against his posts.

Either show us evidence that he's wrong, or admit you have nothing.

    sarky,

can you break down the scientific evidence that made you conclude nobody will be j,c, s friend. its just proof for that statement im looking for. we know u wont lie.

    thanks.

    1. It has been shown multiple times in this thread that almost everything J C says is untrue, occasionally because he doesn't know what he's talking about, but mostly because he alternates between misrepresenting the truth and outright lying. Not to mention the constant inability to counter any points made by such learned individuals as oldrnwisr.

    2. Friends react poorly to constant lies and non-joking accusations of being Nazi sympathisers. These are things that cause friends to stop being friends.

    3. Friendship requires trust, honesty, a certain amount of respect between individuals. Such qualities in a person make them good friendship material.

    4. J C does all of the things in 2. He displays none of the qualities from 3.

    5. The last logical step is left as an exercise to the reader.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,971 ✭✭✭Lucy8080

    sarky,
a very unscientific answer there. it could be said you're hiding from the question.

whats ur scientific proof nobody will be j.c.s friend.

    its not so hard.

If somebody had written around a 2,000 word essay for somebody else's sole benefit, the very least that that person could have said is "thanks". Or if not that, at least to move one's hand the half inch required to click on the "thanks" button. And if that was too much trouble, at least they might have avoided saying they didn't even bother reading it.

As an example of the forlorn lack of interest in reality that props up creationism, that attitude is simply unbeatable.

    thats very unfair robin,

j.c. has outweighed every poster on this thread for replies and acknowledement.

oldrnwsr v j.c . may need another thread.

i think your attitude is off on the above.

your personal opinion on the validity of j.c.s arguments are your entitlement.

it may be worthwhile putting j.c. up against oldrnwsr...if only because one guy cant reply to all here.

choose your champion. and give both a fair crack without interference.

i like both...j.c. is patient under duress...and old is knowledgeable.

    we can all learn.

Actually, that's a very scientific answer. Sarky analysed the evidence, both of JC and how people react in the real world, and even left the answer open for the viewer to come to their own conclusion, instead of just shoving it in their face.

Look J C - You're simply not mature enough, or intellectually honest enough to engage in this discussion. You routinely make claims and ask stupid questions, and when someone goes to the trouble of writing a clear and concise post to address your questions - you skip over it. It is ignorance of the highest order.

You're not interested in learning about anything here. All you're interested in is defending the bible, irrespective of how wrong it is. You may or may not acknowledged the lengths at which you have to go to to be deceitful and disingenuous with your posts - taking quotes out of context, or blatantly ignoring insightful responses - But we've acknowledged it. If that's what it has to take for you to try re-assure yourself of the biblical world view, then go for it - but you'll never really have the same conviction in your posts that we have because you know that what you are saying is nonsense. Deep down inside, you know it.

The majority of the people in this thread know it. You own oldrnwisr an apology, for having him write up that post only for you to ignore it.

It's actually St Patricks Day ... a Christian Festival Day ... so by what bizzarre reasoning do you expect/want it to be 'religion free'???
I have no problem with people of all religions and none joining in the fun!!!
... I have no problem with it having secular and non-religious dimensions ... but surely it's the height of arrogance and religious intolerance to start campaigning for it to be a religion free day ... especially in view of the day that it is.
St Patrick's day is primarily the day when Irish Christians celebrate the coming of Christianity to Ireland ... you're very welcome to join in, if you want.
You're even very welcome to express your Atheism, or any other religio-cultural beliefs that you may have, when joining in, if you want ... but you're not entitled to turn an essentially Christian festival on its head ... and to hi-jack it, by banning any public religious dimension to it.
Pease rememember that tolerance and inclusivity work both ways ... and they include tolerance and inclusivity for Christians and Creationsists and their beliefs ... as well as Atheists and Evolutionists and their beliefs!!!

So we can expect a full apology from you today, then? Or are you going to keep to your standard method of ignoring all evidence posted in favour of cheap insults and blatant ignorance and disrespect?

I've apologised about twice before in this thread for getting something wrong. Others have also done as much. If you'd read every post like you claim you'd know that, so there's another lie from you. You don't get many apologies because for the most part the people you whine about are not wrong. Your posts don't get much respect because they're riddled with untruths and ignorance which you repeat rather than correct when we show you the flaws. All you have ever managed to do with these tactics is convince everyone who reads this thread that you're a crackpot willing to stoop to any depth in order to ignore the evidence.

In short, J C, you'll get respect when you post something that DESERVES it. Your efforts so far are far too poor to warrant it. Try new points that haven't been shot down a decade ago. Try using full quotes instead of dishonest selections out of context. Try actually discussing the posts you keep running scared from. Try admitting you don't have an answer when it's plain you don't. Back up your claims instead of the shameful deceit and evasion you've employed every single time so far.

It can't seriously be that hard, can it?

The cheap insults and blatant ignorance and disrespect are all on the Evolutionist side of this debate.
Some of ye even take pride in expressing your absolute disrespect for me!!!

... and people don't show disrespect by not replying to posts ... they are entitled to silently disagree if they want.
