This poster was leaked before No Surrender, people were saying "well it's obvious what the tournament match results @ No Surrender will be then" and said a tie, and Anderson winning, so triple threat at BFG. I said "TNA aren't that stupid, it's just a poster with their big stars on it."

Then I watched No Surrender. Wow, TNA are that retarded. Thankfully for them, most people hadn't seen that poster!

Am I the only one who heard Mike Tenay reveal that
    Hogan and Bischoff
are "they" on iMPACT a few weeks ago??

I don't remember that. They said it was Fortune based off what Flair said until Abyss said it was neither Fortune nor EV 2.0.

Went back and watched iMPACT from 26th Aug; you're right. Must've been only half-listening! I didn't hear Flair say it so i was pissed that Mike Tenay broke the news.

I'll stick with Hogan and Bischoff for "They". Although maybe just go for a swerve and have it as the Wolfpac.

I'm so happy to see MCMG finally getting showcased in the correct way. The Bucks could do some extraordinary stuff in an Ultimate X.

This has serious potential to be a Match of the Year candidate.

Agree on the Machine guns match. They're nearly guaranteed gold. As for the lethal lockdown, well let's just hope for the best. Just maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Also, seems odd that RVD will be back when there still hasn't been a new champion crowned

I'm just as happy to see GenMe finally be featured regularly on iMPACT!. These two teams have yet to really be given enough time to completely tear it up, lets hope they'll be given over fifteen minutes this time.

The EV 2 guys deliver decent-great matches at No Surrender and Lethal Lockdown is easy to cut corners in (though I still don't agree with it being used on any other show than Lockdown). On RVD, him returning this quickly just furthers my theory that he didn't want to drop the title.

So Pope has gone heel and how will Hogan be able to wrestle after all his back trouble?

So Pope has gone heel and how will Hogan be able to wrestle after all his back trouble?

I don't reckon Hogan will be involved very much and this match will be for the "moment", Pope's turn is built in the next few iMPACTS! by way of him saying he's being held back and hinting it's for racial reasons

Bound for Glory is shaping up quite nicely can't wait to go really looking forward to the whole weekend's activities

BFG is the final straw for me.

I was very disappointed with No Surrender to be perfectly honest with you. I was expecting much better at the start but the crowd were dead right from the off which had a huge impact on my opinion regarding the MCMG and GenMe match. Everything was boring until Hardy and Angle but still, I thought this fight was way overbooked - two re-starts, I mean, come on.

BFG is it for me. I love TNA and really want to see them improve but with Russo in the back, I can't realistically see that coming to fruition. Being out of the Disney arena, I have much higher hopes for this event. The atmosphere makes or breaks the show as far as I'm concerned - much like Lethal Lockdown earlier in the year, it was fantastic.

I'm not too gone on the three-way for the World Heavyweight Title but it is what it is. If I was head booker, I'd publicise Angle Vs. Hardy for the first LIVE iMPACT show in October to determine a rightful winner which would also get people interested followed by a possible ratings boost. Having said that, this whole nWo 2010 "They" angle will obviously take the spotlight for the night. I hope they don't drop the ball with this because it is an interesting storyline that has been building for some months now.

Whoever wins the belt (won't be Hardy because of his court case), I'm sure will turn heel with Hogan and Bischoff. My money is on Anderson. Angle won't need to retire because with a triple threat, Anderson will pin Hardy.

I must admit, I liked the RVD/Abyss match on the Whole F'en Show a few weeks back and I'm looking forward to another brutal battle at BFG - furthermore, one match I'm not too keen on will be the nWo/Wolfpack match. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of these "veterans suck" preachers but these guys can't really go anymore. Hogan's just back from surgery but no injury is bigger than Hollywoods ego so I kind of expect Pope and Joe to take some serious bumps in this match to compensate for the veterans lack of agility. Those two guys are going to have to work their asses off to get this match over. Which, brings me to another point: Why are they even included in this? Joe is a great performer and I think Pope was hard done by by being the only one of the four left out of the title picture.

Lastly, and I promised I wouldn't turn this into a rant but I hope Magnus and Wolfe are included in some capacity. It was like a slap in the face when I heard neither were at No Surrender. Moreover, I don't like the way TNA are grouping everyone together. It's like they're saying "ok guys, we don't have enough TV time for you, so we're just going to throw you into a stable"....Ev2.0 Vs. Fourtune will not be amazing by any stretch of the imagination. The only guys I care about in that setup right now are BMI, Kaz and AJ Styles.

    Simple as.

I really hope BFG can rekindle my support for TNA.

My hunger for wrestling has died some what this year. But for one reason or the other I have been watching Impact for the most part since Hogan/Bish took over. While bumpy at first the show has come on greatly.

There still mistakes. Knockout & X-Div have been sidelined and the roster to big. But they been trying new things and I look forward to watching Impact and can't say that about any other wrestling show.

So looking to BFG with the reveal of "They" and the Flair & Co Vs. ECW. Not to sure about the main event but see how it goes.

the main event with angle/anderson and hardy should be class

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,242 ✭✭✭chordtype

Hopefully they keep the **** to a minimum here and present a good wrestling show like WWE do with Mania. Clean finishes and longer matches, not run ins and wacky skits.

I hate the advertising that says 10/10/10 is a date that only comes once a century. Hello, every date only comes once a century. There won't be another 16th September 2010 any time soon will there.

I read in Power Slam that "They" are TNA's Accountants.I know that'll annoy some but I couldn't stop laughing When I read that.
PS Whats up with Magnus & Wolfe did one of them fail a drug test or what.If they did How did other talents not get pulled from tv.

No not really.I thought it was funny but sad at the same time.TNA's use of money has been nearly as scandalous as their booking.I know well Tna are falling over themselves trying to sign castoffs like Carlito & Matt Hardy instead of looking at a Fresh Young Talent. They got McGuinness gave him a terrible name but a great start & Vintage tna now he's just another wrestler.

I hope to God that "They" are Hogan and Bischoff, or Dixie even. The three of them have just been licking wrestlers arses for the last few months telling them how wonderful they are. Bischoff is a great heel GM, it could work out well imo.

Not a bad card so far. I hope Fortune beat EV2.0

Ugh Oh could they be "They"
Brutus Beefcake was on a radio station in Miami, where he says that he's going to TNA to join Hulk Hogan where they're "starting from scratch & going NWO Style.

I'm easily annoyed/finding it really hard to watch TNA these days so i'm cutting out iMPACT and just watching the PPVs. Much more digestable that way :)

B4G; i've seen much better arrangements of the wrestlers on the card; but f it, worse comes to worse we'll just talk and not pay attention

Wouldn't do anything for me. TNA has enough talent at the minute. They just need to use them better.

I hope Angle gets the title

Could be a really good card. Looking forward to it much more than any WWE PPV in the last few months.

Hoping they get some Joe/Jarrett/Sting/Nash conclusion or development on the card too.

Main event will be awesome, loving Kurt Angle recently.

MCMG v GenMe will be amazing.

    Lethal Lockdown will be entertaining.

And most of all, the conclusion of this "Who are They?" angle and possible the start of the "They" takeover.

    Cannot wait.

Hey man, jaded wrestling fan here. Just wondering how long you've been watching TNA. (Past surprises/letdowns have made me quite cynical). Who are you hoping will be they? If it's Hogan and Bischoff or EV2.0 would you be disappointed?

That is of course, if TNA haven't decided yet, or "they" is someone on the roster. Booking decisions are much easier to hide than signing new talent; that said TNA are quite good at hiding surprises when they want!

Since they were on the The Wrestling Channel, so more or less since I've been able to watch them in Ireland so maybe since around 2003 (I think)

I am usually quite cynical about surprises in wrestling, but I just feel that TNA know that THIS is the chance to "do" a wrestling surprise well, as they've addressed the speculated parties like EV2.0 and Fortune.

I really don't want to be let down, but I feel like the card is strong enough to be a great card without the surprise, so I'm hoping it will be the icing on the cake, and I guess for the first time in a long time, I'm actually letting myself believe the hype. I'm a huge believer in what Bischoff is capable of, and thats whats driving me.

Look for many changes in TNA soon as far as face turns, heel turns and new groups forming. At one point, the plan was for Kurt Angle to be World Champion with Eric Bischoff & Hulk Hogan as the top heels and Sting as a top face, coming out of Bound For Glory. No word yet if that is still the plan but we will know after this weekend.

It’s also expected that either Rob Van Dam or Jeff Hardy will turn heel. It’s said that Hogan wants a top heel group that’s considered cool like the NWO was.

    NWO again?

    NWO again?

See the NWO could work again, once its done correctly. I don't get the worries that a lot of people get (and rightfully so in some cases) when a new nWo is mentioned. With the right people, I honestly believe that it CAN work. I mean if it is Bischoff and Hogan (which could make sense considering the Sting/Nash dissent) thats fine once its subsidised with believable bad guys who can work and carry a faction like Joe, Anderson or Morgan or some variance on Jeff Hardy (although I can't see an easy way of making him a heel)

After years of WWE being factionless save the odd one here and there, I like the idea of factions again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

Well, it has been 2 months, I guess we're due another new heel faction in TNA :pac:

Hogan , Biscoff , Jarret and some one else me figures possibly Samoe Joe and "they" kidnapped him to brainwash him to join them . RVD wont turn heel btw why would they get aybss to attack him if he was a part with them ... Think hardy is too popular and btw nash is out of tna soon so dont expect anything major with him ...

Personally love to see Shane Mac to be revealed at "they" would be pretty great . Paul E is out of the question . Could be dixie parents.. bob and Janice wanting to take revenge on dixie for losing millions with tna in the last few years :p

On paper this looks like it could be a great show if the top matches are all given time. Kurt's been claiming everywhere that the main event will be match of the year and if they get time I think he could be onto something. The opening tag should also be very good provided it's given time.
