    Riight.

So - it's a plot to divide the advocates of genocide (which specific group is it they're blaming btw?) from those that don't roll that way. Terrible stuff altogether.

You do realise those Tourist Police in Thailand don't have any actual police powers, and the ex-pats are volunteers (and not UK police)?

Yeah they report the news, the German police commission has even stated it! look it up! Would you only belive it if you seen it on RTE? or Irish News papers?

This comes from the Police commissioner him self its like saying we cant look after our own country and need armed foreign police, It will be then released that it was a great success and they will remain in the uk.

From the looks of the website promoted by the ads, http://think.mtv.com/, I'd say so.

...either that or the second ad is the next step in the anti-piracy ads. :D

    No they don't.

    http://www.thai-touristpolice.org/application.php

Volunteers understand that being a volunteer is to assist the work of a police officer and not act on behalf of a police officer
Volunteers should not be involved in activities such as arrests, interrogations, investigations or inspections

Russia today is run by the Kremlin and is a noted source of utter bull**** and woo.

    They wear uk police uniforms

As Alaister said. No they dont.
    Yes look it up!

The onus is on you to support your claims not vice versa.

No the statement is that there potentially isn't enough officers in the UK with firearms training to police the Olympics, and it may be cheaper and more efficient to bring in foreign police officers for the three weeks of the games.
It will be then released that it was a great success and they will remain in the uk.

    Wanna place a bet?
And? have you seen it they actually arrest people! its just a show to get you used to the idea of having foreign police on your streets!

You'd think they'd put it on a station that y'know people watch then.

As Alaister said. No they dont.

    Go watch it!!!

No its up to you to investigate, not just dismissing everything because you think the world is full of lemon drops and daisy's!

Really so they don't already train their own police officers?

    OK how much?

If you can't show a credible link stating that Mexican police are patrolling the US you have zero credibility.

See what you're doing is rather juvenile. Because I don't trust X, then I must trust Y. It's a logical fallacy.
    Go watch it!!!

    Show me a photo.
No its up to you to investigate, not just dismissing everything because you think the world is full of lemon drops and daisy's!

Really no. Running around trying to disprove stupid claims isn't a useful use of my time. I've been to new york, I didn't see any Mexican cops.
Really so they don't already train their own police officers?

The article says that the British Police have 6,000 officers trained to use firearms. Less than 1/6th of the force. It says that they're investigating the possibility that it would be a better use of resources to possibly bring in trained firearms officers than to go through the expense and hassle of training additional officers with firearms training.
    OK how much?

I'll give 200euro to the 2012 Santa Strike Force if armed foreign police are brought in for the Olympics in London, and they remain a constant presence after the games.

Will you volunteer to do the same if they don't?
Thats whats its their for don't just take my word for it go watch it Sky channel 123!

Ex-pat Thai volunteer tourist warden uniform (as seen on your fave telly channel):

A random UK police force uniform:

Yes but can you imagine American Police on the UK streets? French, German even Afghan, would you except that if they end up here? READ THE LINES, The UK police commissioner saying here wants extra police that are none UK police!!!

I've seen it (unfortunately). They're not UK cops, they're not wearing UK uniforms, and they don't have Thai police powers (as I've already pointed you towards to the horse's mouth in that regard, you really ought to give up on that now).

Well I judge an article or news piece on it's own merits.
Its not my job to try and prove to you! look it up your self!

Really it's not the way the world works.
So don't get involved in discussions if you don't believe it or don't agree.

It'd be a pretty boring world if people only had discussion with each other on topics they all agree on.
Yes but can you imagine American Police on the UK streets? French, German even Afghan, would you except that if they end up here? READ THE LINES, The UK police commissioner saying here wants extra police that are none UK police!!!

Okay firstly I'm assuming you mean "READ BETWEEN THE LINES".

He's saying thats it's possible for a brief period in a few years time, over the course of a few weeks, they're investigating the idea of using foreign police to help deal with extraordinary circumstances.

Hypothetically if they were to permanently remove police from their nationality to the UK, what would the countries they're taking them from do to cover their own short fall. And also how will the officers and their families like the idea of permanent relocation from their families and homes?
Yes! lets up the bet say €1,000

No. €200 is a decent amount of money.

But lets make this fair. A side bet. I bet that if you lose you won't honour this bet. In fact I bet 20e to the Strike Force Fund, that you won't.
Well I do and I've watched it!!

Right and you missed the photo that Alaister put up, proving you completely wrong then?

No!!! if thats the case you must believe everything the Government says am I right? and if it is the case you believe that I feel sorry for you!
It'd be a pretty boring world if people only had discussion with each other on topics they all agree on.

You took part in a discussion taking it off topic and saying none of it is true, even dismissing Russia Today because they are Russian?

He's saying thats it's possible for a brief period in a few years time, over the course of a few weeks, they're investigating the idea of using foreign police to help deal with extraordinary circumstances.

I don't think to many guards would care, they will be getting paid more! it would also mean less work!
No. €200 is a decent amount of money.

Because I don't believe you, it doesn't equate that I automatically trust another source.
You took part in a discussion taking it off topic and saying none of it is true, even dismissing Russia Today because they are Russian?

No. Again Seriously do you have a literacy problem? I distrust Russia Today because it's a government run (not state government) that espouses the Kremlin's line, it also regularly hosts conspiracy loons and wingnuts.
No read the lines, then investigate.

Ah that answers my question about literacy.
Its happening in other countries too! to protect people living in another country!

Only the examples you've provided are untrue or misleading so you're not really winning this argument.
I don't think to many guards would care, they will be getting paid more! it would also mean less work!

    Wow.

    Sigh.

Okay before I get into this. Firstly we're not talking about Garda (or Guards) we're talking about British Police. And how will they be being paid more? Where is that in your plethora of bad links?

Look. I'll try this again. You're claiming foreign police are going to be moved permanently to the UK using the pretext of the Olympics.

Lets use a hypothetical. Suppose a 1,000 police come from say Alabama, for the duration. How will Alabama cope with the permanent loss of 1,000 police officers? Will the officers who think they are going for a few weeks, be happy to stay forever? Will their families?
I'm a man of my word! I will keep this bet!!!

So you agree 200e to the Santa Strike force if you're wrong and there isn't a permanent large foreign police force in the UK brought in on the pretext of the Olympics but still in place this time in two years?

RT is not the only station saying this look at Press TV and Al Jazeera.
